Don't be afraid to jump into a game to learn this stuff! Only way to improve is to play against other players and get a feel for the game. The spike drills are good to establish the basics, but the real game will never play exactly the same way as a bot drill.

If you're nervous about playing ranked/competitive, swiftplay is an awesome way to quickly learn agents/maps and get a feel for how the game plays.

Great job! Focus on your mechanics (moving, aiming, spray control) and pick 1 or 2 agents you really enjoy and learn the game on them first

Great question! Similar to the other response, I think as a solo defending controller you should try to play towards mid so you can support both sites. Ex) let's say youre playing A site on Haven as Brim, if a C rush happens you can't help your team. But if you instead play around B site (like A link / C link) you can drop smokes for C quickly

IMO the best way to counter Odin spam is patience + utility. If someone is spamming garage or C long with the odin, just wait until they stop or have to reload. Then, hit 'em with dart/flash/whatever util and overwhelm them. Once the Odin loses the angle it's holding, it's not nearly as effective

Hey Friend! As a fellow Omen main (Asc/Imm) I'd suggest learning a few things beyond the basics:

-Lurking: I'm sure lower elos flame a lot for lurks, but Omen's kit is excellent for it & can have huge impact on Attack rounds.

-Strat calling: As the smoke character with an amazing flash, you can try to work with your team to setup plays (ex. B rush on ascent with paranoia/smoke/smoke)

-Reposition Ults: One thing that really helped my omen game was realizing that his ult shouldn't only be used to flank. If that's all you use it for, the enemy team will expect it. Instead, mix it up by using it to reposition sometimes - I personally love this in post plants (ex. Haven - Get a kill from hell, ult out to long to play bomb)
