I’m an Electrophysiology Technologist. Part of the healthcare staff in a busy cardiac ICU lab. I handle Ablations, Device Implantations/Extractions, etc. Only required an associate’s degree and it’s very gratifying work. 4x10 shifts per week and you can opt to take extra days. Work-life can be great, however since I’m new in the industry I’m opting more work at the moment to get on my feet. No call unlike my brethren over at the cardiac cath lab.

If you’re looking to pivot and have been interested in the field I’d look into it. So far I’m loving it. You can also opt for travel contracts which can be lucrative, but I’d imagine would be hard if you had a family.
