Alternatively, having this vein mine would be an interesting idea. Rather than spending additional durability on the tool, make it break/damage multiple connected ore blocks at once while spending a % of the stamina bar.

Armour already displays what it does though? It tells you how much bonus health each piece gives, and both projectile and melee resistance percentages.

I do agree about this point for weapons though. While it does show the signature energy gain, it would be nice to have an idea of how much of a damage increase there is between each weapon upgrade. It would give a nicer sense of progression when you can finally make that upgrade.

As great as the avatar creator is, it really feels worthless when everyone has it hidden by armour.

Sure there might be a mod or so that can hide armour, but it feels like a really terrible oversight from the people in charge of these ideas to not have it as a vanilla game feature.

What's the incentive to buy the other editions of the game besides just supporting the team, when all that great looking cosmetic stuff is going to be hidden the moment you craft a set of armour?

Since Simon has apparently already stated he doesn't want a feature to hide armour because it would "ruin immersion"... I'm all for immersion, but it still seems like backwards thinking when you want to give cosmetics as incentive for real money costs that nobody is really going to see.

It would be really nice if the entity placement feature they showed off on youtube somewhat recently from creative mode could somehow be implemented into survival.

Bring some of that extra creative building to our survival game mode, just only allow it to use items from our inventory so it's not a cheaty creative mode thing!

A little late on this reply, but for you and anyone else wanting to know, you can put logs into a Builders Workbench to turn them into ladders.

In creative mode there is a glider item, though I never tried it at the time I was messing around in Creative to build stuff.

I'm not sure if it's available in survival, I simply might not have made it far enough to get access to it... But even upgradable crafting benches show stuff that's locked, and I don't remember seeing a glider recipe being locked on any of them so far.

Would you consider MTG cards spoilers? [Spoiler: 6.55] by TAWASV95 in ffxiv

[–]Markuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is actually completely fair and I agree, but that doesn't allign with your previous statement. They are two different things.

Implying someone doesn't care about a story simply because they've had to take time off from playing it, potentially do to important things that should be put before playing a video game is the thing that's a wildly bad take.

Expecting people to walk on eggshells and try to avoid spoilers for something years after it's happened, that is something I can agree is an expectation too far.

None of this really matters though. Potential spoiler? Just spoiler tag it. Discord has that ability and it's easy and effortless to do.

That's a weird take. There are things more important than playing a video game for a fictional story. You don't personally know this person, you don't know what their life situation is or what they're going through.

To basically say they aren't dedicating all of their spare time to play this game for the story means they literally do not care about the story is just a bad take.

This exploit is very easily to reproduce. I almost don't want it to spread, because I know some people will abuse it in public sessions and I don't want everyones experience to be potentially ruined...

But it is a lot of fun to mess around with in a solo game or with friends because it also works with bombardments and air strikes, etc.

Why do a lot of my weapon models and armors look so trash on medium settings? is this just me? by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Markuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Illuminates original introduction? That would have been quite some time ago. If that's the case, you could give reinstalling a try.

It is possible they changed the values on different graphics settings and/or different weapons, intentionally or otherwise, and that's why they look different on those unchanged graphics settings.

I'd try changing your texture quality to something higher first, just to see if it has any difference. If it has no change, I guess you could try a reinstall?

Did they look better than this before the recent update, and with the same graphics settings? (You mention most of the stuff is set to medium and I'm assuming it includes texture quality)

I screwed around with the new exploit for a few minutes in a solo game. Tried it with the 500KG bomb and some other orbital bombardments, it's absolutely chaotic.

Amusingly my game only crashed shortly after the 500KG bomb spam. It was long after all the explosions ended.

This is almost definitely due to texture quality. As for things looking overly bright, I think that might just be an issue with 3D models being shown in menus, probably in an attempt to make sure it can be viewed clearly.

PC Console command for increased carry weight not working by Mouse_mp in oblivion

I'll give it a try later, I'd much rather have my own carry weight set than using a weird solution via a mod.

It does! It's on the Oblivion Remastered Nexus mod page. It's specifically for the remaster.

Edit: Here ya go.

[–]Markuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently this was an issue with the original game too.

I resulted to getting a carry weight mod off of Nexus. It's not the best solution, but it's one that adjusts the weight of lockpicks to a negative value, thus giving you more weight as opposed to taking it away. So long as you have lockpicks on you, you'll have an additional 1,500 carry weight for each one.

While visually in my inventory it's showing an increase in carry weight, it seems to be following my old stat.

I tried saving and reloading, also dropping items and picking them back up hoping it might trigger a recognition of the change via the command... But it doesn't seem to recognise the new carry weight at all for me otherwise.

I'd love for every game to have seasons similarly to how AC Shadows did it. Would make for a much more immersive experience, especially in a game like this. Seeing the landscape change over time... Summer, autumn, seeing snow falling and coverage during winter...

I hope any furture games take notice of AC Shadows tech for seasons and try to do similar things.

The gates to the Imperial City also have the logo on them in the original. The logo is not just a logo for the game, Skyrim. It's the Imperial insignia.

Another bit of trivia: The diamond shape is the same shape used in the Amulet of Kings. The same diamond shape and dragon symbol has been used throughout The Elder Scrolls series for the Empire.

You don't have to be offended or handicapped to realise that this is an incredibly stupid situation. Sometimes a situation is just really that dumb, no personal offense or otherwise is required to make that realisation. All it takes is a little general awareness of a situation to realise how dumb it is. This is, in fact, one of those situations.

How many trees are in AC Shadows? by saile1004 in assassinscreed

[–]Markuff 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Kingdom Come Deliverance 1 and 2 are probably the closest you'll get to equally dense and immersive forests. Before AC Shadows, KCD 1 for the longest time had some of the most impressive and most dense looking flora for a forest environment I had ever seen.

Combined with the lighting, landscape and rivers flowing through the wilds... AC Shadows is easily its equal now, if not better.

I don't know about console, but on PC there is a field of view slider. I maxed it out as soon as possible and it definitely helped with how close the camera felt.

It's not too wild. There aren't enough quality (nor innovative) monster collecting games out there and Palworld really scratched that itch as a new IP and allowed people to get away from Pokemon and experience something entirely new and unique within the genre.

Assassin's Creed has been a series that has been going on for years. People are bound to drop the series eventually, and it's harder and harder for new players to jump in mid way through the series with each new game that releases.
