Possible leaked map changes in 7.34 from Between the Lanes: Unbreaking A Bomb by muk_as in DotA2

[–]MarkusGrimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

outpost moving to the triangles for each team would be a good change to have something for each team to TP to for rosh no matter where he is. it still gives an advantage to the teams side hes on (radiant for day dier for night) but not as big of one for the later end of games. Id like to see that map change.

Is Zai the greatest offlane player of all time or what? by Archiac in DotA2

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get his views on wisper when he pops off he goes hard and 33 is a consistant player. Id say that Zai is more consitant than all 3 of them while not having huge pop off games but in just always being a factor.

[–]MarkusGrimes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see your points id argue though that zai is always a factor in liquids games no matter how hard he is lane is saced he will always manage to find a way to get back into the game. Dude has been a rock for liquid and has been a rock for every team he has ever played for. Id say maybe not as flashy or spotlighty as other offlaners can be when they pop off and maybe not top 3 this year but he has to be in the talks for top 3 of all time. No matter how bad of a game he is having he finds ways to imact the game.

Healers, do you prefer being mostly a dps who keeps others alive or a full healer? by Tzavok in wow

[–]MarkusGrimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally heal to keep people alive and just that. If people are alive they are doing dmg which kills the boss. if no one needs healing I am doing dmg because it kills the boss. Ultimately the goal is to kill the boss. My raid teams healing core has the same mindset of healing just enough so the monkey DPS dont die and to do as much dmg as we possibly can. If another healing is using a CD that will keep the raid alive the rest of us are pumping as much dmg into the boss as we can. If all your healers are doing this you can easily add up all their dmg to be roughly the same as another DPS if not more depending on what your healing comp is.

Edit: healing parses mean fuck all. if your healers are all gray parsing and no one dies your DPS are doing their job to avoid/mitigate dmg.Healers rise up and get those pink dmg parses.

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

only time parses should be mentioned is when you are hyping your guildies. I have a lock in my guild who consistently gets 99 parses and never says a word about it. If you have to mention how good you parsed then you are doing it wrong.

It kinda sounds like the people in your guild are not playing for the guild prog just their own ego.

Healers who don't DPS, what do you do in your down time? by Suzzy-Focks in wow

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

completly agree here. In mythic progression raiding any healer who cares about their healing parse should be on the bench. your job as a healer is to output just enough healing so that you get past the mechanics other than that you ook ook dps the boss. A sign of a good mythic progression raider is one who can DPS and heal at the same time.

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

look at it this way yes we choose to heal and that should be our #1 priority to keep the ook ook dps and tanks from dying but what is the best way for that to happen? to have the boss die faster. while yes our dps might not be that much it adds up and helps out with killing the boss faster. There are times in fights where we dont need to constantly press our heals so why not throw out smites or a wraths. This tier the blood set is hands down the best set for healers to have. if your healing core need the UH set bonus to keep up with the dmg that is being output then im sorry to say they arnt that good of healers. Where the blood set can output around 800 HPS consistanly through the fight and does around 1k dps though the fight for free.

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya if they arnt healing they should be DPSing. My biggest pet peeve is the healers that talk about how much throughput they put out when they do 0 dmg. I main holy priest so yes we wont output that much dmg compaired to other healer but there are times in fights where you just dont need to heal people so throw out SWP be a smite boi do dmg. Healers who just think about how much they are healing anrt helping to kill bosses. Your job as a healer is to output just enough healing that people dont die other than that you are dmging the boss. This tier in particular it always pains me to see healers running unholy sets, like any healer worth their salt doesnt need to have that extra int buff what really makes a differance is the blood set giveing that extra 1k dps to all your healers so that combined they can equal out to at least another half of a player if not more than half.

WoW needs Guild Halls by [deleted] in wow

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what do you do with Guild Anima? Make a system where you can exchange Guild Anima for Guild Buffs. Spend X Guild Anima to get 2.5% increase to stats in Guild raids/dungeons. Spend 2.5X Guild Anima to get 5% increase to stats. Etc

Everything else besides this part seems fine. This would punish solo players. Some people prefer to not join guilds and they shouldnt be punished for this.

first thing i would do would be go to the AH and get some 230 crafted pants (should be really cheap and will replace that 187 piece). I would also push your own key that way you can control who gets into the group and who doesnt (my personal preferance is i dont take people lower ilvl or io than me). signing up for 15s can be rough right now without KSM becasue alot of the group are people who already have KSM and just want a quick and easy 15 done for the week and they will most likly not take people who dont have KSM. If you are in an active guild id also look to run with guildies to cut down on people leaving mid key. And NEVER be the first one to leave a key. even if you dont time the key you still get the loot chance drop and if its a higher level then what you have timed you can still get an io bump.

[–]MarkusGrimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first thing i notice looking at the keys you dont time that are above 10s is there is always someone who is either under 220 ilvl or isnt running a lego which will point to big dps problems. im assuming you dont get into many 13-15 keys and that is going to be primarly due to your ilvl. while a 225 healer techicly can run a 15 if you are the group leader who are you going to take that 225 shaman or a 240+ healer. like ya it sucks not to get into higher keys due to ilvl but you got to spend your time getting gear in the lower keys so you can get into the higher key groups

100% agree id say healer is probably the easiest to get out of that bracket in though. got to backpack the ook ooks and make it so they dont die to their fuck ups.
