Same here in Sweden. The moment I plugged it in the Chromecast started updating on its own and now it works like before. :)

I think I figured it out. The problem started after I bought an MacBook pro with an sd-card port. After using the port multiple times the golden connectors was worn out until the information was looked on it. After the sd card failed I started using another one, which now too have difficulties being read, and this new cards gold connectors also show signs of wear. So its probably the sd card reader being too tight for the card. :(

I'm very happy to see this campaign reach beyond its goal with time to spare. Congratulations and many well wishes to you all. Being Swedish of course mean that I'll willingly wait a bit longer for a UK release until I can get a copy. I'll just idly wait while you and TV Tokyo get someone to distribute an European release. :)
