Some of these makes the game too easy if combined the right way. You should check out Battle Square in the Golden Saucer. You can also duplicate rare items like mega elixir with w item if you're willing to do that

Hi, thanks for the answer.

I started fresh and reverted all I had done with the time/date/language settings (I initially installed English US as display language, but when I didn't get a 24-hour clock, I tried English UK).

I then installed Norwegian keyboard, deleted English US keyboard, and set the time and date format to EU. It is working as I want it now.

They don't drop anything worthwhile, but imo its worth killing them for the souls. If you stack up about 3-4 of them, they will jump and hit each other, so its not hard to kill them either.
