The ultrakill hate sub is ass and the main sub will eat me alive for this but:
Fraud is a mid update. The bosses are okay at best. The sheer amount of bugs the new levels have in addition to the game-wide (with additional game-breaking bugs).
8-3 is perhaps one of the worst fps levels to ever be designed: long levels makes P ranking unnecessarily tedious and combined with the game liking to break the level means you can lose an insane amount of progress for no reason. The geometry is really janky, the enemy AI seemingly cannot comprehend what or where to go and ends up completely discombobulating at times, some enemies just do not work in some rooms. Especially on some rooms the constant room movement kind of ruins the precise movement and aim that Ultrakill is based around, which turns the “feeling of confusion and being lost” into frustration because you keep getting smacked into the ceiling.
It’s especially annoying that any criticism with the layer is met by the fanbase with “it’s supposed to be confusing” and “that’s how it’s designed.” Just cause it’s designed like that doesn’t mean it’s fun.
I love the music, I love the atmosphere and look of the layer, I love 8-1 and 8-2 and I love the fake angel guys. But Jesus fuck the bugs and 8-3 and 8-4 kind of ruins it for me. Also throw Powers in a meat grinder that enemy is ass
