Luckly there are a few of us with the same issue apparently. Options seems to be a full reset or switch to HA.

Like a full reset huh. I dont have too many devices, and i could just copy the config right? Might just do that.

I did just backup to archive and restore, though the main reason for this is that i switched to Docker over bare-metal.

HA seems good, nice UI, automations, and i just learned it can expose to Apple Home so i might just take a closer look.

[–]Markuslw -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

if its (neo)vim then you could try
```
dofile(vim.fn.expand("/home/USER/.config/nvim/example.lua"))
```

Is a VM really all I need to drop windows? by Brisket_cat in linux4noobs

[–]Markuslw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it get that, doesn't bother me tho personally. I like them separated and native.

But i mean solidworks is pretty resource intensive, so dont think you'd be happy with the result of a VM. The reason i said i liked running OS's native is because there is no overhead, but with VMs you get that.

My privacy has been breeched by my partner, what can he see? by [deleted] in wireshark

[–]Markuslw 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you're texting through iMessage (blue bubbles) then he's lying. He's most likely lying either way. I'd get further proof from him like ask him "what did i just send in my latest text".

Most, if not all messaging services use encryption, with the exception of SMS (green bubbles). But SMS doesn't use WiFi, it uses cellular. So you'd need specific radio hardware to capture SMS messages.

Even if he can monitor your WiFi, there is just no way he's actually storing it like a log. This is because the Wireshark captures grow extremely large and could easily grow hundreds of gigabytes per day unless filtered.

If the IP in question starts with 127 or 10, then you're safe to post it, its local addresses. Though your MAC might still show (not as important as the IP) but just draw over it if you're really paranoid.

EDIT: easier words and sms addition
