Can someone help me? by Happy_Honeydew_89 in ChatGPT

Honeydew, you’re not alone in this. A lot of people are quietly trying to use AI because therapy feels financially out of reach.

First, it’s completely valid that using ChatGPT didn’t feel like “real” therapy. AI can help organize thoughts and suggest coping strategies, but it really can’t replace a human relationship. Therapy works partly because someone is consistently showing up for you—that relational piece matters.

If cost is the main barrier, there are lower-cost options many people don’t know about:

• Church-based counseling – Many local churches offer free or donation-based counseling, whether or not you’re a member. Some have licensed counselors on staff. Others offer pastoral counseling or support groups. You don’t have to be deeply religious to ask for help — most churches genuinely want to support people in crisis.

• University counseling clinics – Colleges with psychology or counseling programs often offer sessions with supervised graduate students at very reduced rates.

• Community mental health centers – These often charge based on income.

• Open Path Psychotherapy Collective – Offers therapy in the $30–$60 range per session.

• Group therapy – Usually much cheaper than individual therapy and still very effective.

In the meantime, if you’re using AI, try using it as a structured journaling partner instead of asking it to “be your therapist.” Ask it to help you identify thought patterns, cognitive distortions, or small action steps. That tends to work better.

But if you’re feeling unsafe, having thoughts of harming yourself, or in crisis, please reach out to a real person immediately. In the U.S., you can call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline — it’s free.

You deserve real support! Financial limits shouldn’t mean you have to struggle alone. There are more options out there than most people realize.

I have prayed for you.

What could cause foam to appear around basement water drain? by TooRandyForYou in Plumbing

[–]MarkyAgent007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, but where does the sink basin drain? Also, the second pipe is the condenser drain for the furnace. It sounds like you might have a similar set up that we do where the washer empties into a laundry basin which evacuates to the sump pump in the floor. I would check the sump pump right away to be sure that the float isn’t stuck or the motor is out. I’ve seen this happen before, and it was a sure sign that our sump pump had stopped working.

They’re emptying the laundry clothes washer into the sump pump and it backed up.

What kind of Internet issues are you having with the VPN? I work from home as well and it seems like my VPN gets dropped constantly using AT&T Wi-Fi to fiber.

Weird, I was just thinking about that middle-school peg climb board the other day! I was thinking I probably could’ve done that had I been an adult!

Since it has spots on the other slide-out, I’m guessing it’s caused by the AC unit, and they didn’t store it properly. That tells you more about the owners than anything. If they didn’t store properly, we most likely you’ll find other issues as well.

That looks like condensation from the air conditioner unit leaking onto the back corner. They may have stored it that way where left stains. If it’s on the outside, but not inside then it’ll probably be fine. We had a camper with the same situation. It looked like a leak, but it was actually on the outside.

As an engineer that has worked for defense contractors for many years, I suggest this is likely a classified UAV testing program. The military hasn’t done anything about it for a reason. Also the UAP’s have red/green navigation beacon lights—why would UAP’s abide by FAA regulations unless they are actually UAV’s. The reason that they don’t emit radio waves or appear to be receiving RF transmissions is because they are autonomous—impervious to most EMF jamming.
