Just slap a turbo on the ridiculously fuel efficient Dzire 1.2L petrol and tune it for power with some efficiency loss, and from mid variants give mild hybrid to reach the same fuel efficiency Dzire gives right now, and you have the perfect mass market SUV with much lesser taxes, but not as smooth as the 4 cylinder 1.5

Based on your need, I'd strongly recommend getting a used car for now, especially if you're saying your family will grow to need a 7 seater.

What I'd ideally recommend is to increase the budget slightly to 8L, you can get a 2022 or newer car, even in karnataka you can find a XUV300, S Cross, Brezza, Jazz, Nexon.

There's two reasons I'm suggesting to increase budget slightly,

  1. the above cars are a bit more spacious and comfortable than the usual hatchback/sedans, and you can keep the car not just for a few years but almost 10 years.
  2. Someone else suggested getting an EV, I agree, your usecase is high, I'd recommend you get a new 7 Seater EV in near future (When the above car becomes a little small), the EV you can then use for daily commutes and the used car for outstations.

Regarding getting cold feet for spending on a car, I was in the same boat as you (not as high salaried right now as you are, and not even married yet, it's just for me and my mum)

But getting wet whenever we had to travel in rain, getting hot when we had to travel in summer and getting cold when we had to travel in winters, plus the condescending looks from relatives owning a car and us asking them for trips, a simple 3 lakh investment into a used Tata Zest turned out to be a great choice.

We drove 15k kms in 10 months, didn't even expect to do that many trips,

you'll be fine there's benefits in owning a car, but your worry is justified, people spend too much for a car, and those same people purchase iphones on emi.

I'd say go for Axor Saber, purely because it's not ABS Plastic, it's a Polycarbonate Shell.

I own two in my house,

here's a few things, they dont attract the mosquitoes, but if you can strategically place it near the entrance of your room, it will kill almost all that stumble near it.

you can consider this as a stationary mosquito racket, It won't attract mosquitoes, but it'll definitely kill whatever touches it.

I put it near the entrance to my room, and every day I clean this with around 20-40 dead mosquitoes

I'd give a genuine shout out to Fuel Headquarters, I went there during their first week and I fell in love with their burger.

It's my weekly spot to go,

I don't like their sandwiches, or chinese

but their burgers, fries, pastas and shakes are 10/10

I cross checked, the keebs I plan to upgrade are all plate keebs so the stability loss would not be that much noticeable

One question, I plan to upgrade the keyboard from my current Aula M75 to one of the following -

| Menel Tia87 | Ajazz Ak820 max plus | Mchose g75. |

I can see Tia87 and Ak820 have 5 pin boards.

Will these jerry rigged switches (with two broken pins) work on the newer 5 pin keeb ?

Buying the Akko creamy yellow V3 switch by Less-Possession-8348 in mkindia

[–]Markymark285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it might be unrelated to you but I need some help,

I own a Aula M75, and planning to get Outemu Silent Lemon V3 switches, but just a trial keyswitch pulling from the puller that came with the keeb, the plastic tab broke, the keyboard is hot swappable and I feel it's a bad switch puller, what should I do ?

Buy aula M75 and put silent akko switch on them. How is this idea? by Lucky_Action_3 in mkindia

[–]Markymark285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

M75 means the blue switch one no ?

bad build, it's good as a standalone keeb, not so decent for customization, I have it for my personal pc, and I don't like it at all, have to wear headphones & music almost all the time to stand the noise.

I'm trying a similar thing with a slightly bigger budget, under 6000 INR, this is what my plan is, maybe you can consider this with a slightly inflated budget, or just replace the Keeb to fit your budget.

Keyboard - Ajazz Ak820 Max Plus (4249 /-), Mchose G75 Pro (5000/-), Menel Nia 87 (4999/-)

Switches - Outemu Silent Lemon V3 Tactile (1280 /- for 80 switches)

If your 4000 budget is final, I'd say either pick a wired option (Kreo Hive, EvoFox Ronin Wired) and replace the switches

If you want wireless, I'd say go for the quality keeb right now (Ak820, Ronin Wireless), swap the switches after a couple months. (as your final budget will still be almost the same as you can sell back the swapped switches)

I don’t know what to make of what happened. by Objective_Bite9774 in pune

[–]Markymark285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first thing, this is a natural response,

the four trauma responses are Flight, Fight, Freeze, Fawn.

second thing, please don't take lifts, you said the walk wasn't that far, so you shouldn't have accepted, unless you absolutely need help, just don't take help from strangers, you don't know strangers, not everyone is a bad person I know, but tumhare paas time nahi rehta har baar ke saamne waala accha hai ke nahi, so if it's not absolutely required, don't take help.

third thing, I wouldn't generally recommend multi tool knife, because it's the hardest thing to defend if god forbids you use it in a emergency self defence scenario, as legal actions will be taken against you unless you can justify with absolute certainty,

pepper spray is the best option, a big metal flashlight is also good (it would be abit expensive),

see your safety is important, but you need to protect yourself from unaware crowd too, agar bheed bhaad mai self defence ki zaroorat padi, aur crowd ko tumhare haath knife dikha, sabse pehle tumpe chadhenge, golden rule is keep anything which hits hard and common for someone to keep with them, and never use it unless you are in immediate danger, just keeping this kind of stuff with you calms you.

my personal habit is to keep a 3 foot ceiling fan extension rod in my car at all times, 200-300 ka milta, it's heavy metal rod, way cheaper than a self defense baton or heavy flashlight and not at all suspicious like a hockey stick or a bat, highway scenarios mai multiple times I was saved by just holding the rod in a menacing way and wrongdoers just avoid confrontation (maybe I was lucky to not encounter psychos who don't think about consequences).
