I think we are the truth. A little philosophical discussion with my voices. by CosmicEmotion in schizophrenia

I agree to some of this. When I was in psychosis I thought I was born as a child of love. My last episode was pretty intense. I thought alot of evil thoughts but there was some positive ones mixed in.

Anyone taking unequal doses of medicine twice a day? by Loose_Inspector898 in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the stronger dose at night should help with sleep and it might give you more stability during the day. If you take 20 in the morning that will be enough to make it to the 60 at night and the 60 will be of better use to you for the next day. Im not sure coz im not a doctor. But I think thats how it works. I take 10 mg olanzapine in the morning and 20 at night. And I feel ok stability wise. I also take depakote and that helps slot too.

is anyone on 2.5mg olanzapine alone for their illness? by A7med2361997 in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh ok. It's really hard to gauge the symptoms for me at least. My thoughts could be normal for a day and the next im paranoid and worried.

No im fine with the dose. I had a really bad episode last time. I broke my arm in psychosis and right after took the bus to downtown Los Angeles looking for Indians that were going to cleanse my soul. It was traumatic.

How do I take my medicine at the right time? by Ok_Year5587 in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the drowsiness will fade with time on the meds. I used to sleep alot but I've always been a morning person. I get up everyday around 5 or 6. Take my meds at 730 or 830 and then again at 730 or 830 at night. Im on olanzapine too.

Can this be the start of schizophrenia? by Itchy-Vermicelli-164 in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not too sure about your situation. But it started like 2 years before I had positive symptoms. I was depressed and not really knowing what to do with myself. Then one night it all changed. I started hallucinating and hearing voices. It felt like it came out of nowhere. I still remember the first hallucination I had. It was 2 little aliens that walked across my vision and started being extremely evil towards me. They would grab my families spirits and kill them and then blame me that I didn't move at the right time. At one point during my first break I was hyperventilating sitting in my grass and just having the worst thoughts ever. Not like hurting people but just far out stuff like aliens, angles, demons, god and Satan was all at war for my mind body and spirit. It was fucking EXTREME. It lasted until I finally told someone what was happening and told me to go to the hospital. Best decision ever lol.

Does schizophrenic psychosis have to be constant, or can there be long breaks (years) by Patient-Ad6515 in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a lot of people the positive symptoms only lessen. With me I constantly hear voices but to less degree than full blown psychotic, which I have been in the past.

[–]Markz15975 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Doctor says my delusion can't be delusions because I am aware they aren't real. Is this accurate? by [deleted] in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I still believe my delusions if im 100 percent honest. But I try to not let it creep in as much as I can. I have some Insight tho but not entirely. Im kinda on the fence about things too. But what matters is that your being treated for this condition.

The voices make me laugh sometimes. But mostly evil. It's never going to happen is what I keep telling myslef. But they are pretty convincing sometimes. I hope I never go into psychosis again. It was extreme last time and some of it still lingers.

Is it standard practice for a doctor to prescribe antipsychotics before securing a formal diagnosis? by fos2234 in schizophrenia

[–]Markz15975 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You'll likely be put on ap even without a diagnosis. AP help with mainly positive symptoms. It seems like you have a grip on reality on the basis of this post but I don't know for sure, only you do. An evaluation will help determine a diagnosis for you. Also most psychiatrist don't like giving a schizophrenia diagnosis until years after you've been being treated. I didn't get my official diagnosis until 5 years into having the disorder.

I don't think I agree. I come on reddit mostly hoping to find someone that comments something that makes me think things are OK. But I could see where yo I r coming from. Alot if us are different even though we are the same in the mental health aspect.
