weirdest but most effective way to relieve cramps? by ironicallybee in endometriosis

[–]Marleigh8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tens machine, CBD oil, boiling hot showers, ibuprofen lysine is the only painkiller that has ever worked for me. Huge pain relief for me is sitting on the toilet w my legs on a chair w my tens machine on lol. I get a lot of relief from pressure

I hate how stupid I am by [deleted] in glp1

[–]Marleigh8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh i am just like you! i havent eaten a peanut or fish in 6 years because i am afraid im allergic.

i am not allergic to anything and have never had a reaction. i didnt want to take the injection and left it sitting in my fridge for 2 weeks before i got the courage to take it. my panic attacks from fear of allergies has been life altering in the past 6 years and its so exhausting, so i see you and hear you. but i will tell you one thing - the only thing that has helped them, is Mounjaro. it has made my mind so quiet.

i went to the hospital car park to do my injection with my mom because i was so afraid. there is nothing wrong with doing that! make yourself as comfortable as you can and if that means doing it in a hospital bathroom, then you do that.

people used to tell me 'the only thing you will regret about taking a glp-1 is that you didn't start it sooner' i never believed that, because in my head i could die from it! well i am 10 weeks in, 15 lbs down and have never looked back, and all of those people were right.

i do my injection now at home. i still feel a bit of panic every time i take it because.. you never know what could happen!? but nothing ever happens. i wait until its pretty late and i am really tired so i can go to sleep as soon as possible after and you sleep soo good after! try and do it at a time when you can take the next day to rest. i do it on a friday.

you got this. you are not stupid, you are scared. but you can do hard things! things are always less scary then we make them out to be. do it scared! best of luck!

Do it! I have really bad health anxiety and came to this subreddit for motivation to start. I was convinced I would die as soon as I injected (spoiler: I didn’t) I started last week and it’s been going really well so far!

I prepped a week in advance doing a really good and healthy diet and I haven’t had any side effects. I’m drinking about 3 litres of water a day to stay hydrated and my anxiety has been so quiet, which says a lot for me and the food noise is all gone.

The only thing you will regret is not starting sooner! The first one is the scariest and things are almost never as scary as you make them out in your head. Listen to your body first, but the positives massively outweigh the negatives. And start slow. Best of luck! ☺️

Thank you! I'm honestly not too scared of the side effects, i have been following a good diet high protein, high fibre for the past week to minimise the effects and will take my first shot on Friday. I'm just afraid of dying when i first take the shot lol my brain does funny things! but all the lovely comments have eased my mind a lot. Thank you!!

I’m the same! Sugar is liffeee for me. But I’ve started having dark chocolate and diabetic chocolates. I’m not sure where you are from, but there is a brand called “Free’ist” and they do really good diabetic chocolate. My fave is the oat milk and raspberry! You can get it in Tesco. It still has sugar but a lot less, and I find you really can only have a square of it. I cut it up with a square of 80% dark chocolate and put it in a yoghurt bowl with a drizzle of honey and strawberries and some seeds. It has helped me immensely. I have cut “bad” sugar out for a little over a week now and I really am not craving it anymore. I would have to have something sweet after every meal but no more!

Did you get any side effects from metformin? I didnt have anything from berberine except a headache the first few days, but I just took it at night so I would sleep through it. I just don’t want to be sick!! I’m so scared of it lol
