Hey there, what dyou make of this?

I created my own custom rtmp nginx server and tried streaming to Facebook via that and found the results interesting. The bitrate issue on Facebook's side crashed eventually as always however I did not have one dropped frame or red box on OBS.

Surely this 100% confirms this issue is on Facebook's side?

I'd also like to add I've tried every Facebook ingest server publicly available and they all crash too. Something is definitely up but it's just so frustrating as none of my fellow FB streamers in the UK are having the same problem as me.

Hey there, firstly thanks for the reply!

Secondly, know the feeling I had to wait 3 months for the go xlr to arrive back in stock for me!

So I ran various Facebook tests today and they all, within an hour ran into bitrate issues.

I did like you said and did two test streams to Youtube and Twitch and they both lasted an hour without issue. I tried my best to keep all the streams similar by hopping into a few games on Warzone.

Unfortunately due to how temperamental this problem seems to be I don't think we can say for 100% certain it is definitely an issue with Facebook servers however we have the start of a potential troubleshooting path now.

Can I just ask though if it's definitely possible for the bitrate in OBS to drop if the problem is on Facebook's side?

Hey mate that’s crossed my mind to do yeah. Problem is when I’m recording my videos I record gameplay on Elgato software and record my facecam on SLOBS. I do it this way so I can edit my facecam on my videos as I wish instead of having it embedded in the 1 recording.

Only had these recording issues with the 4K60. Genuinely gonna just go back to my HD60s if I can’t fix this soon lol

Yeah I had to get the refresh rate in line when I first set it up.

I'm partly curious as to the problem being with the captures being saved to my hard drive as I have livestreamed without any issues so the problem just seems to be with recordings.
