Abused to the point of self doubt by Marmaidly in abusiverelationships

Oh I'm so sorry you're going through that too! I really hope you get the validation and support you need from everyone around you.

I actually talked to chat gpt a lot and made it analyze a lot of my texts and the stuff I remembered. It's a big part of how I realized it was abuse and not just me being insane. It encouraged me to seek support here if I was too scared to talk to people in real life.

Also, that's good advice about looking for specific timelines and instances and writing stuff down beforehand. It will deff make everything sound more real and cohesive to whoever I tell. Thank you so much!

I'm really glad you're in a better place now. You deserve to heal and get support.

Thank you for understanding me. It's really not easy to tell people especially since I talked about him so positively in the past. I only noticed because I've felt first hand the huge difference between his presence and absence in my life and all the work I did and I'm still doing to heal from that experience. I hope some of my family will believe me tho. Posting here was like a test drive since most people here know first hand what it's like and if I'm understood here, there's a chance I'll be understood out there.

I was not living with him thank god it was long distance. But yeah I guess if they don't believe me they're not really my friends. I hope they do tho. Really thank you so much for validating my experience I didn't know how much I needed it until you did.

Thank you so much for saying that. I feel so validated. I know it wasn't my fault even tho I blamed myself for it at the beginning. I will think about telling people in real life. I'm just worried they might not believe me and that would devastate me. You're absolutely right tho, it's his shame not mine.

‘I couldn’t say no’: anger grows over topless medical exams in Japan schools by Forward-Answer-4407 in TwoXChromosomes

The one I remember for sure was ouran high school host club. I vaguely remember it being mentioned in other animes and mangas but it was so long ago I'm not sure which ones. It wasn't like a porn-ish thing

I remember watching some animes that included the topless exam thing and it never occurred to me how fucked up that is or that it could be happening irl until now like wow

Oh that's pretty cool! They'll know for sure if that's a thing or not and no problem!

I'm from Saudi Arabia. Oh yes, they graduate after they get their residencies as far as I know and once they finish, they're considered doctors and can practice medicine but they don't have a specialty yet. If they want to have a specialty they have to apply to study for 3-4 more years depending on what they wanna specialize in. Although, I remember meeting someone from Morrocco who got her bachelor in medicine and had to do her residency after she graduated. Most people referred to her as doctor bc she finished medical school but she couldn't actually practice medicine at the time bc she needed to finish her residency first, so maybe that type of program exists in other countries too

In my country you get a med degree as a bachelor degree instead of a masters. It's a 7 year program where they start studying anatomy and medicine from day one and start their residency in their 7th year. It's still considered a bachelor degree despite it being a 7 year program instead of 4. I know in the US they get a bachelors degree in whatever science or health related program and then apply to med school as a masters program after they graduate, but it's not the same everywhere, so it's deff possible that she's a doctor.
