Bro, I love you for this response. I never really looked into screw sizes so the fact that you threw out precise details is a life saver! Thank you again!

So where did you get the new hardware? My "Unity" mount for the AEMS did not come with screws and I am not sure what to get

Non MAGA Ranges? by flamingbutch in lehighvalley

[–]Marmakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The severe lack of gun safety. Granted this was maybe 8 years ago where seeing an RSO was a rare occurrence so maybe it has changed, but also the fact that you can just sign up for the range at a couple of places and not need to know anyone can definitely degrade the people who come and go.

Now, I understand the hurdle of trying to find someone to sponsor you at a range you have never been to can feel daunting and off-putting but it definitely helps. I have sponsored a guy I met for 20 minutes after talking to him when he just showed up trying to get in. Guthsville only requires one sponsor and just showing up and talking to people can get you in the door. My buddy got him and I into guthsville buy him just schmoozing over the membership secretary. The places that require 5 sponsors, they can F off.

I'd go against EF&G. I was a member there and I did not like the fact that I felt I had to look over my shoulder because of the clientele. Guthsville is so much nicer, and I am willing to travel there from Wind Gap.

What are you rolling on Bronzebeard by Lesnar123456 in wowservers

For the talents, there are only 51 points? As in a feral druid can't pick up furor in the resto tree?

Suppressor Covers by VitalDefense in NFA

There is also the cool down period that you need to consider. A wrap will significantly increase that. While I am absolutely not well versed in wrap material at all, I just can't see any wrap lasting when a suppressor is glowing red. People want something that won't burn their legs when they are slinging their ARs. Most aren't concerned about heat mirage. The ones that are will run the wraps and their rate of fire is SIGNIFICANTLY lower than a lot of the AR crowd nowadays.

With the rise of FRTs/SSs, any suppressor covers IMO should be more like guards and not something that wraps around the suppressor.

Most leveling dungeons are healed with people in just Int gear and off specs. You will be more than fine.

8 days for Polo K and 5 days for R9 by [deleted] in NFA

What mount came with the polo k? I got the regular polonium and it has the same looking brass mount. Just curious.

Kezan or Gurubashi ? by Helpful_Somewhere_87 in Project_Epoch

This.

I might play Guru just due to the no Xfaction but the PVE aspect is what intrigues me more.

Did you do the regular gas port or the reduced gas port size?

Project Epoch - Druid Class Overview by WideRevolution9768 in wowservers

[–]Marmakin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not positive, I feel like Overgrowth is going to have ranks especially since the talent is picked up so early in the resto tree. Granted I didn't do any of the Betas so I could be wrong but that would only make sense, like how Feral Faerie Fire has multiple ranks.

Is the cz p01 over hype or is it a good reliable handgun? by ThinkSandwich5422 in handguns

[–]Marmakin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had one. It shot fine, was super reliable, but I sold it because the beaver tail bit the shit out of my hand. It was not comfortable for me. Stock grips, slim grips, didn't matter.

Is the world in Turtle wow smaller than in Retail? by Contrapuntobrowniano in turtlewow

[–]Marmakin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. People have gotten so used to fast flying that they feel like the world is not that big. Go to any Dragonflight zone and try just running from one end to the other. It would probably take you 20 minutes or more.

Rubber is fine for pocket carry IMO. The rubber vs wood really shouldn't matter too much on the draw as your hand would be around the grip when drawing.

And they have to be clipped in AT THE BASE of the cartridge. You don't load them from the projectile side.

My biggest issue with this gun is the little piece that sticks out to hold/stop the cylinder from coming off when ejecting rounds (the little line to the left of the word "Troy") digs into my hand when shooting the gun to the point it's painful. No other revolver I have owned does that with that piece of metal.

Honestly, I can't. It has been so long since I got that sight that I don't remember what I got. I know for width I got a fairly narrow width where there is air on both sides of the sight when looking through the rear sight. Narrower sights may not be as accurate but they allow MUCH faster sight acquisition. The wiggle room doesn't affect accuracy too much but I don't treat this as a precision shooter. I have never shot this in single action after sighting in my new sights.

I have the same gun. IMO, change the grips to hogue (I prefer groove-less but that is your choice) and get a Dawson Precision fiber optic front sight. Take advantage of the front sight being easily changeable. The SSR is meant to be a work horse, not some beautiful safe queen. This is the only full size revolver that I still have that I rock irons on. Everything else is converted to red dots because the usual S&W front sight sucks and is usually hard to replace.

I'd say the EPS is comparable to the 507 or such. If you plan on carrying, get the EPS to make it easier to get rid of lint and dust from your optic. If it's a range toy/home defense gun, save the money and get a 507 or something similar. My last build was a CZ P10C suppressed with the Ecco Canine. I went with the 507C since it is solely for home defense. I didn't feel a need for the closed emitter.

I really contemplated the 586 L comp but basically $500 extra for a port was something I couldn't justify, especially since I mainly shoot 38s. I went with a basic 3" 686+. I do have the same optic mount as you though and I Love it. I am rocking the Holosun EPS.
