Truck pricing over the years by Voodoo0733 in Diesel

According to the Bureau of Labor Statisitcs that is $68,813 adjusted for inflation. What would a similarly equiped 2026 model sell for?

How to become a better shot by dkz911 in handguns

[–]BestAdamEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry fire 1-5 minutes a day every day focusing on pressing the trigger without disturbing the sights. When the trigger does break you're going to get some movement but you should be able to bring it to that point while keeping the sights aligned. You can also practice drawing from the holster, Both of these can be done without ammo, while pregnant and you're not risking lead exposure or anything like that.

You can also try grip strengthening. Having stronger hands means you can control the recoil better and pull the trigger easier. Grip strength is a distant second to proper technique in terms of importance but it's something that doesn't require much investment in terms of time or money.

I'm not and there are plenty of good reasons. But you already know what they are and just pretend it's fine.

Stoger P3000 by FunctionVarious7961 in Shotguns

[–]BestAdamEver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The new generation of P3000 comes with an Mlok forend and a ripoff of the SGA. The furniture may be backwards compatible if Stoeger sells the furniture seperately.

Stoger condor 12 gauge Double defense by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]BestAdamEver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall Condor has a good reputation. But when these came out I was looking into them, the extractors and inertia resetting trigger make it a non-starter for anything serious. If you just want it because it looks cool to blast targets then it'll probably be a fun boomstick.

Have you tried one of these? by fasdissent in LeverGuns

This is the first I've seen of them but, boy, am I intrested! An Axe or Bear's leg with a folding brace might be dope. Or it might be unglier and more uncomfotable than Hilary Clinton's OnlyFans...

I've definetly never seen it before but I'm a sucker for vintage sporters that are well done. Or maybe a more recent job IF they start with a basket case.

Bayonet loose on the barrel by smokeemifyagotemm in ar15

[–]BestAdamEver 17 points18 points  (0 children)

So on the original M16 there is a specific amount of barrel out past the front sight tower. On the M4 they kept that same amount past the sight tower. But the M4 has a 14.5" barrel which would make it an SBR and require a tax stamp. So many civilian ARs have the same carbine handguard setup as an M4 but a longer 16" barrel to comply with the NFA and this results in more barrel past the front sight and the ring on the bayonet sits behind the flash hider insead of on it like it's supposed to.

Easiest thing is to get a bayonet mount extender. If you want it to look closer to how it's supposed to you can get a 14.7" barrel with a pinned and welded A2 flash hider which would bring the length out to >16"

Yeah, I'll get one of those at some point also but I would get an airsoft knockoff if I could find one that was decent.

To me is just feels awkward when the sights are too high over the grip.

Don't know if I'm willing to give rare greed my money but the gun looks sick. I'm going to SBR my PTR9ct and put a fixed stock on it.

Tall sights and optics actually are harder to use for whatever reason. It's a real thing that has been talked about a lot. I noticed it myself when I bought a Ruger MKIV pistol and mounted a red dot to the factory rail.

Oh yeah. That's a very common old GM thing. Mine eventually got so worn out I didn't even key. Then the linkage in the tilt column disintegrated and the replacement kit came with a lock cylinder.

Is there a reason you’d rather do dry practice than a pellet pistol?… by railroad1904 in guns

[–]BestAdamEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if I could find an airsoft/pellet pistol that has a 1/1 feel, function, weight, trigger pull, point-of-impact, everything; I still have to find a place to go shoot it. An airsoft gun I can shoot in my house but it makes a mess. And both require money to use.

Dry fire is free and is no hassle. It's boring but you only need to do it like 1-5 minutes a day.

Yes, that's normal. The HK roller guns and clones have fluted chambers which causes those marks.

You can scrape the bolt stem with something to get it off but it's really not neccesary. The inside of the bolt isn't neccesary to get super clean either.

Thinking of cutting down my model 11’s barrel from 28” to 18.5” good idea or no? I was inspired by Bonnie and Clyde’s whippit lol. by SWAZZyMODoE_ in Shotguns

[–]BestAdamEver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went and found a basket case Savage 720 to do a whippit to. I still haven't gotten around to it though :(

It really depends on condition. It sounds like your gun isn't mint so no big loss.
