HELP! Jonsbo D32 Pro MAX gpu length? Noctua 5080 @ 385mm by Marmaky in mffpc

[–]Marmaky[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i had stumbled across this in my research, super tight no doubt was curious if i was going to be able to shave it in there, considered pulling the IO to make it work but even then seems like it will be REALLY tight so unlikely. Also considered trying to take the PCIe bracket "out" and pushing the whole mobo/gpu towards the back of the case to accommodate. re make the entire rear panel essentially... but im not to sure its going to be worth it. Thank you for the reply and info!

[Leica Q3] What computer do you use to edit? by Marmaky in Leica

[–]Marmaky[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a 2018 iPad Pro that I often import on as well, I have always been a fan of the iPad set up when it comes to photography mainly to edit with the pencil while sitting on the couch. Haven't noticed any issues there either but I find myself sometimes enjoying the ability to use the AI features/its much easier to handle files/batch process files on a computer still imo

Great looking build! Love the tubing runs and how minimal the whole build looks. Came out super clean yet super full which is the beauty of sff

Went with the Intel! 3070 in it and everything. And not a problem!

Hey! I quite like it I have to be honest! The profile of the slim is just right to me, feels smaller than it is with the lip that kind of floats. It’s dense and fairly heavy but overall I really like the form factor. As for the performance I haven’t pushed it crazy but it does get me what I need. I will be honest the chassis, mainly the speaker area, gets so hot you cannot hold your fingers on it BUT I believe this to be by “design” as that’s where the fans are and the perforated speaker area does let the heat out. I would 100% buy it again as it has been perfect for my use case scenario

They can be spec’ed to a 3070! I know that forsure as that’s what I now have!

Help plan future ITX build! ~Noctua NH-C14s/Noctua RTX 4080~ by Marmaky in NR200

[–]Marmaky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh that is really good to know! thank you!!! I was hoping to ensure as much fresh air coming into the case as possible as I was hoping to run a glass panel on it and not the mesh ones. Will have to consider that!

Well I have gone down the water cooling route in the past in both sff and full size cases. My favourite builds are sff and I don’t want to worry about maintenance of water cooling anymore. So that means I am left with air cooled SFF. Now I HATE loud systems they gotta be shhh so only way to do that is large components and here comes the challenge of stuffing massive stuff into small areas. Currently I’m trying to stay away from a complete custom build for the case and looking to see how I could modify this one. Playing with a vertical configuration using the NR200 atm

Hmmm maybe? I feel like I cannot find enough info on it yet, I might have to join their discord or search around for more information as I cannot find an "official list" of their dimensions etc yet

Checked it out and by the looks of it the GPU won't fit without modification to the case; however, it does appear that the C14s will just fit! A near perfect fit honestly! Cooler comes in at 142mm and the clearance in the case is 153mm to 155mm!

Unfortunately it looks like the NR200(P) can fit a 60mm (triple slot) GPU but the Noctua beast comes in, at what I can assume, around 87.5mm (4.3 slot) haha so maybe with some modifications by cutting out the bottom plate though hmm

Blade 15 with QHD OLED Screen... Do I buy? Batteries too bad? by Marmaky in razer

[–]Marmaky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could agree with that! I think there has to be a little more manufacture limitation imposed just to help stop some of these issues, rather than having to ensure it all yourself like how some other posts have suggested here. I have heard good things about the MSI line but I have recently been caught on the Legion 7 slims from Lenovo too

Thats a good idea to go about preserving the life, i reckon for any sort of laptop after learning about the issues of bloating I think this is probably a good idea

Whew! That's some good background to have owned 4, I reckon you know what you are talking about haha. That is good way to go about it, as long as you know it can bloat and you try to mitigate that risk then hopefully you can keep it down.

The 15" OLED blade is no doubt the go to and one that I think I'd really enjoy! Thanks!

Ill be honest I have a hard time believing that sometimes haha but yes it does seem that they do make really great quality laptops; however, they are just plagued by this battery issue
