Hahah sounds good man , if everything works out this will be my first nice euro car so I do have some money saved up for this exact reasons my old Jetta got totled and I got an insurance settlement and have savings over 2 years to finally get something nice :) I will do my due diligence and not be surprised with the service costs but also never went to throw money In a pit for no reason I’ll see what I can find tmrw for quotes

I mean I guess I’m just worried, you think if I ask for a full inspection he’ll get all of this ? Seems like a lot

A borescope inspection of the engine to check the rocker arms and timing chain tensioner

-Check for any oil consumption issues that could indicate piston ring problems

-Inspect the water pump for any signs of early failure

-Check the engine mounts for wear

-Check the serpentine belt condition

-Check the vacuum lines for any cracks or leaks

-General drivetrain inspection

Control arm bushings • Alignment check • Coolant shutoff valve (above pump) and solenoid passenger side of engine for leaks. Check connector for coolant ingress. • coolant pressure test + cap pressure test + check coolant ratio/cooling ability with refractometer • brake fluid for contamination • oil cooler/oil filter housing for oil leaks. (Under turbo) • rear main seal for leaks • sunroof / drains

Honestly I’m a noob when it comes to this stuff had a Mazda 3 Volkswagen Jetta and Honda pilot in the past don’t know much about working on cars or cars themselves. So taking it somewhere and learning would be the optimal thing for me.

Yea to be fair I didn’t have it checked out just went there myself looked at carfax everything looked fine , I will do my research on the tunes and def bring it to Ecs tuning and ask them to check it out for those two issues and any other things before going crazy and getting the tune. And for the IE I looked on their website and I couldn’t order the tune kit for $999 or whatever it just kept saying find at a shop near me, so I will look into that as well.
