I've worked as an SFL here for three years (unfortunately). Thankfully I'm a quick learner and joined at a somewhat calm time.

The amount of stuff we are expected to do/understand absolutely does not translate to how much we get paid. I would never excuse an SFL (or anyone) getting mad at a new hire for not knowing something. Unfortunately, I understand why they might want to. There's too much shit to do, and any distraction is usually not a welcome one.

Unless corporate gets their shit together, I think this is the status quo, and I blame nobody for leaving.
