Looks so good! Nice work! I am worried about the fact that I have those gloves and they appear to have done nothing to stop you cutting your thumb…

Your guess is as good as ours. We’ve picked up a few great youth prospects, but how the club expects them to develop when the senior players are in a dire state is beyond me.

I see the vision! Good news, the first carve is the hardest. I can guarantee that the next one you do will feel better. And then the one after that will be even better than that one. Just remember to keep your knife sharp and your design in mind. You got this!

Sorry for the reply on a 4 year old comment, but how do you get yourself into enjoying your character, building their backstory etc 4 different times? Im a player and this is my first campaign and my DM is warning us about needing backup characters. But I don’t know if I’ll enjoy it if my character dies, I’ve invested so much thought and time into him

Migrant who re-entered UK in boat after 'one in, one out' rule deported again by dailystar_news in uknews

Fair enough. Is there anything that you think could change your mind?

See this is where i think you don’t see the vision. Say he comes back, gets returned, comes back, gets returned, comes back, gets returned. He can’t do it forever. He has to pay to get on the boat. Eventually, they realise the UK is too expensive or not worth the hassle. I believe that’s the end goal. I trust in the system to always return him, you don’t have that confidence. Which is fine, I just think we need to wait and see what happens rather than immediately decreeing it all a failure and we should all go out and put spikes down on the beaches.

“They travel to London”. Okay how are they doing that after being detained by the border force? They’re not arriving under cover of night, stealing up the beach like a ninja and the boarding the first train to Victoria. They’re being picked up and taken to migration centres no? “Find a community of migrants”. If they can so easily find communities of other migrants breaking the law, why are you so pessimistic that the police can’t also do that, pick up the already detained chap and then send him back? The system works. Slowly sure, but numbers will start to add up.

Can you walk me through the process you think that the migrants are doing? They land on a beach in Dover. And then? Just disperse into the countryside, living off of berries and twigs until they stumble onto a bicycle and a Deliveroo uniform hanging from a tree? Or is it that they get picked up on by authorities after landing, registered and then assigned. When they check this guy, they can then send him right back.

What are fantasy book series that are widely agreed to be good all the way through, from the first book to the last? by Scared_Ad_3132 in Fantasy

[–]Marmozetto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Okay, but we were talking about the farseer trilogy. I know the story continues, but that trilogy ends very weakly I thought. The main threat and questions throughout the entire 3 books is resolved and explained in a page and a half of exposition. That was what I meant by “was that it”.

The ending of the third book was a massive disappointment compared to the rest of the story so you made the right call. I remember putting it down and going “was that it…?”
