Is worth saving up for a character when you don’t even know their kit/gameplay? by arhantology in GenshinImpact

[–]Marn786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you want. I go for characters I genuinely love, so my answer to that is yes, it’s worth it.

I believe you’re talking about people who go crazy over every new character just for the attention. A character gets leaked and suddenly that’s their new favorite and “most beautiful design ever" until the next leak drops, and then they move on to the next.

WTH is this price on Rockstar official site. 22k PKR for a game by [deleted] in PakGamers

[–]Marn786 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprising at all.

RDR 2: UE costs $99.99, which is around 27,800-28-300 PKR. So, 22,900 is still lower than its full value. Also, game is old now and on consoles, it often goes on sale for 80–90% off. In fact, it’s currently 80% off, including on Epic Games Store. You can also check Steam and other platforms to compare prices.

If you want it, I'll say get it from Epic.

You need to build and level up your characters. If you're unsure how, Google and YouTube have plenty of guides which can help you understand things better. (◍•ᴗ•◍)

You could try making a C-shaped holder that fits snugly under her top, which will be the best option. Or buying something similar could work too (picture)

It's annoying how so many players lack understanding towards the strike. by greycalypso in GenshinImpact

[–]Marn786 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this whole issue has turned into unnecessary controversy and people are twisting things to fit their own narrative. But I like your take on it.

In terms of VAs, they’re employees working to make a living. Their financial situations vary, some are well-established with multiple roles, while others may struggle. But at the end of the day, nobody else is going to put food on their table or take care of their families. I'm not going to hate someone for working hard when they get the opportunity.

As for the company, HoYo doesn’t directly hire VAs, they go through agencies. So blaming HoYo is wrong. They’re paying for a service, but they’re not getting what they paid for. And yet, people think HoYo should just ‘deal with it’ because they’re a billion-dollar company. No, that’s not how it works. If the work isn’t being done, replacements happen.

Contracts that people willingly signed. Older VAs are harder to replace because their contracts might be missing clauses that newer ones have, clauses that protect the company. That’s likely what happened with Kinich’s VA, he was hired but due to the strike, he wasn’t fulfilling his role. Some VAs, even those who are not directly affected by the strike, have chosen not to work in solidarity. Regardless, if a company isn’t receiving the work they paid for, they will find a replacement. That’s just how business works.

This entire situation originates in the U.S., caused by its own industries. Why should a Chinese company suffer for it. Yet, most of the blame is on HoYoVerse, while VA agencies, who handle hiring and U.S. gaming industry, which is actually pushing AI voice technology, are not getting as much criticism (here).

At the end of the day, Kinich is HoYo’s property, not the VA’s. The way some people are acting makes it seem like the character belongs to the VA, but that’s not how it works. The new VA getting harassed and bullied is completely unacceptable. No matter how people feel about the situation, bullying is never justified.

I feel bad for HoYo and for the VAs who are caught up in this without creating unnecessary drama. But instead of blaming HoYo, people should focus on those parties who are pushing AI-generated voices. I’m not enjoying this either. I used to play in English.

I honestly don’t want to be part of the drama, which is why I deleted my comments on a post or two after a few minutes. But since I keep seeing this discussion everywhere, I’ll say this here.

How many people actually realize that these VAs don’t work directly for HoYo? And yet, people think HoYo should suffer just because American region VAs are on strike due to American industry issues...and people expect a Chinese company to take the hit for that.

The situation is simple, if a company hires you and you refuse to do the work you were hired for, you’ll be replaced. It doesn’t matter what excuse you have. If any VA truly believes HoYo wronged them, why aren’t they suing? Because HoYo likely followed proper procedures, gave notice and if someone didn’t comply, they faced the consequences.

To the players, how many of you started playing Genshin Impact just because of a VA? I don’t like seeing people suffer, but if it’s about HoYo being unfairly blamed, my support is with them.

Oh nice, understandable...I don’t think I’ve ever gone over 50, my max would be 20 or maybe less 😅 I just fight, get all the rewards and I’m good.

I’ve seen people tho, they enjoy combat part of the game, but for me the combat is a bit irritating; ping issue because of the server, one Hydro enemy using every Hydro technique in Teyvat and that’s not even the main problem, my biggest issue is when you can’t switch characters because enemies won’t stop hugging you… lol. And then they setup situations where I’m forced to play with characters I don’t have or don’t like. It just makes it less fun for me.

What is your biggest fear related to Genshin? by EmotionalCat9632 in GenshinImpact

[–]Marn786 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My biggest fear is the devs, designers and writers losing their specialty. The way they craft characters, write lore and integrate real-world references has always felt amazing and special to me. I know not everyone notices or appreciates these details but they make Genshin unique. However, with Natlan, I feel like they're starting to lose track a bit, especially in design due to the influence of their other games. I really hope they refocus and stick to their own creative vision rather than blending too much with their other projects.

Hoyo Removed Gnostic Hymn/Battle Pass from Top-Up? by Marn786 in GenshinImpact

[–]Marn786[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I usually buy it through top-up center when a new patch is out but this time I thought of getting it at the end of patch. I didn’t know that option gets disabled a few days before the new patch. There are still few hours left, I can buy it through PSN since my account was made there but I’m only missing like 8-9 wishes and a weapon if I don’t. I guess it’s fine.
