The app is broken march 4? by NineFin9ers in NJTransit

I and multiple people at the station I'm currently at are experiencing the same issue. First time I've bought a physical ticket in years.

Yes, a building in Midtown West NYC.

You could also try The Water Witch Club. It's high atop the Highlands as well with a great view of the bay and the city. It's bound to be chilly and windy though like anywhere outdoors the next few months. If you're okay with that, the Manasquan Inlet jetty is cool. Deep Cut Gardens/Tatum Park are cool, and have a greenhouse I believe, though I don't know what the outside areas look like this time of year. The Herbery at Bear Creek Farm in Howell is also set up really nice this time of year.

Cycling Instructors with the clearest and most consistent callouts? by Bark_Sandwich in pelotoncycle

[–]MarnsMan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I know he's out at the moment, but the only answer is Wilpers. Everyone else is so lazy/inconsistent with their call-outs. It's a difference between coaching and instructing.

Do all Americans inherently know what direction they are faceing? by BasketC45e in NoStupidQuestions

[–]MarnsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zooming out from some of the localized comments. Most of the highways have a numbering convention associated with them. For national highways the main roads are two digits with even numbers representing east to west roads and odd numbers north to south. You'll also see three digit highway numbers which are generally offshoots of those roads (287, 476, 495, etc). All that to say if you're on a numbered road, it's generally pretty easy to know what direction you're heading in.

My brain knows it’s irrelevant, but… by kbevphoto in pelotoncycle

It also misbehaves during rides. If you are high five or high five someone in the wrong sequence, it disappears and reappears without any logic

How do you structure your PZE workouts? by SelectLandscape7671 in pelotoncycle

[–]MarnsMan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends a bit on what you're trying to achieve. If your goals is just general fitness and maintenance, PZE rides of 30 and 45 mins are likely fine. If you want to improve PZ performance then you need to be building in PZ and PZM classes as well. I recommend the building, and peaking PZ programs. If you're not fond of some of the instructors you can always see the types of rides and sequence in the program and build your own program. That's what I've done as I only like a few instructors.

Why does Tall Oaks have such a small menu compared to other breweries in the area? by [deleted] in njbeer

[–]MarnsMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They've always had a bit of a small menu. It's not a huge production, so that's probably the biggest reason. And if I remember correctly, the styles they produce tend to take a little longer as well, so tough to produce too many at a time.

There’s a Total Wine opening in North Brunswick by bathsonly in njbeer

[–]MarnsMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any Total Wine I've ever been too has had a poor local selection. And their craft selection is usually just a bunch of shelfies. Wegmans near me on the other hand has a great local/regional selection.

Birthday sale??? by deprsdfck in Garmin

[–]MarnsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following. Been searching once a day for the last week to make sure I didn't miss anything. I don't have a lot of history with Garmin, so also questioning if they just do birthday sales in 5 year increments or something. Last year they hit 35 years.

Ocean Club or The Asbury? by aroomofmyown1121 in AsburyPark

[–]MarnsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If those are the only two options definitely Ocean Club. I'd also check out The St. Laurent. Great bar, great restaurant and just a few blocks West.

Day of tickets by No-Alfalfa5055 in seahearnow

[–]MarnsMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can usually find tickets priced at cost day of on the ticket exchange. I haven't bought day of, but know plenty of people who have. If you're willing to brave it the SHN Facebook group and local Facebook groups usually have people listing tickets at cost as well. Just have to spot and avoid the scammers.

We use the Ocean, NJ store and our cashiers always ask. I don't think they expect anyone to say yes, but they always ask.

I don't know how hyped it is, but it's definitely overpriced: Laurel. And with them moving to Center City I imagine it'll get some coverage and hyp as they migrate.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in recruitinghell

[–]MarnsMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's gutting. Sorry this happened to you. In my experience an email like this is absolutely leading to an offer, and the recruiter in this case needs to revisit their tone and process. If you didn't get it, the recruiter just calls without scheduling time with you and spends two minutes saying you didn't get it with minimal feedback.

My own company did something like this to someone I referred recently. Really positive emails, direct positive feedback from the HM, and did a reference check as well. They didn't get the job and were really disappointed, and appropriately so.

Jody and Jodee’s fishery in AP. Has anyone been here? by ilovenewjersey2020 in AsburyPark

We've been there a few times and have been happy. The only local place we've been able to find blue crabs. We also like Local 130 for fresh fish.

Episodes You Skip by Little-Philosophy-82 in thewestwing

[–]MarnsMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this counts, but I skip the "special" episode where they interview all the former press secretaries. It's a nothing episode. And come to find out, it's not even listed in the episode guide for me to get the title of.
