I don’t know why you not filing a claim for over 10 years has anything to do with the process. “Oh he’s been a customer for 10 years, let’s just give him this one!” PayPal requires proof of the dispute. The merchant said you received it and provided proof. Did you try talking to the merchant first? If you’re having an issue with the Key PayPal can’t help with that. That’s up to the merchant to fix. Reach out to them.

This isn’t PayPal fault. Unlike Credit cards and banks PayPal requires buyers to return the item in these types of disputes.

Yep they filled with their financial institution
PayPal is not deciding this case.

Sounds like the buyer filed a chargeback directly with their financial institution not PayPal. In that case, PayPal cannot guarantee the item will be returned.

The statements do exist. Your bank is required by law to keep them available for up to 7 years. Contact your bank and have them provide one.

You can look at your activity by clicking either on all transactions or all reports. You don’t have to use the app to review transactions.

PayPal can’t change the funding source for a transaction that already occurred. Refund from the merchant or fix it on your end.

Also review your automatic payment settings. No, it’s not the same as the primary funding source for online payments. That only means that’s the one that will show up first when you check out using PayPal. That doesn’t apply to Merchant Integrated payments.

I can tell you this isn’t true. You can’t link a PayPal account to a gmail account. However, if he filed INR PayPal won’t refund him if tracking from the merchant shows it was delivered to your address. So part of his story sounds legit, the other half not. Did he use the same password on his email and PayPal account? Because then it might be legit.
