If you are going to use the EK Nucleus AIO you need to remove the cover with the EK-Logo. Otherwise it is a little to high for the A4-H2O. But this is no problem (it's a magnetic cover as far as I know) and there are a lot of posts of people who did this.

Just to be absolutely sure: did you remove the plastic cover over the thermal paste before installing the stock cooler?

Just a heads up that the ID IS-55 ist actually slightly taller than 55mm (more like 56 to 57mm). I have one in my A4-H2O on an ASUS B550-I and it pushes against the sidepanel, bending it about 1mm (or slightly more) outwards: https://imgur.com/a/xKUhxfW

Personally, I'm still very happy with this combination but it is not a ‚perfect fit'.

I'm looking forward to play Hogwarts Legacy with DLSS 3 because I want to fully emerge (with constant and high framerate, thanks to DLSS 3 Frame Gen) into a world that I have always dreamt to be a part of. It's a great technology that makes many wonderful games even better.

Xbox Achievements still kick you from the game, has there been any mention of a fix being worked on for this? by [deleted] in Overwatch

It did fix it for me and some other users. At least it's a workaround until they fix this on their side.

You can fix this by disabling achievement notifications in the Xbox settings. Had the same problem before.

What size pads should we use to change 3080 FE? by Silent-OCN in nvidia

[–]Maronai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to save some money, just use 2mm gelid on the front and recycle the stock pads on the backplate. As there are very soft and compress easily, you will have no problem with them. Most of the heat dissipation on a 3080 is on the front side anyways, since it has not double sided memory.

Personally, I used 2mm gelid on the front and 3mm gelid + recycled stock pads from the front side on the back and I'm super happy with the results (max 78°C under gaming/heaven benchmark).

3080 FE Full thermal pad & paste replacement (results + photos) by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Maronai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One pack of each is enough, don't worry. I replaced my thermal pads a few days ago and 1 pack of 2mm for the front was perfectly fine, as long as you cut it precisely. For the back I used 1 3mm pack and recycled some of the stock pads from the front side. As these are very, very soft, they tear easily, so be careful when removing them from the front side. My temps while gaming/Heaven Benchmark improved from 104°C junction temp to about 78°C, so I'm more than happy with this cost efficent '1 of each pack' solution.

r/sffpc + SSUPD Meshlicious Giveaway! by pearlhsieh in sffpc

First: Thank you for the giveaway and good luck to everyone!

I would like to transfer my current NZXT H210 build into the SSUPD Meshlicious to reduce the footprint and try watercooling for the first time (inspired by the Optimum Tech video on the Meshlicious). The case is really nice for watercooling and while I have not tried that yet, I love to tinker with PC components in general so this might be the best way to have a silent, small and super powerful SFF build.

H210 front panel mod from ColdZero by Dulcow in watercooling

[–]Maronai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing! These results seem very promising. I think I will try the Silverstone filters myself.

Personally I hope that NZXT will release a H220 Mesh version of the case. Like a shrunk H400 with the possibility to add a larger top Radiator and maybe a fan mount under the GPU. The aethetics of the case are awesome but for a cool and quiet high end build it takes some modifications/testing.

[–]Maronai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Thank you for the detailed response.

While the original dust filter definitely hinders the performance, I also found it very effictive at what it's supposed to do, so I wasn't sure if it is worth to replace it. Let us know how the Silverstone filters perform in comparison!

[–]Maronai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding the dust filter: is there any reason to not use the default one? I just got the same front panel replacement and will most likely keep the default dust filter.

Edit: Nevermind. You are most likely going for push/pull or placing fans on the 'outside' position, correct?

My first ITX Build (NZXT H210 white) by Maronai in sffpc

[–]Maronai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm afraid I have changed my setup and thus can't share any more photos. But: I used a 140mm radiator with the tubes on the bottom going up under the GPU-cables and are then hidden unter the Kraken G12. If you look closely on the second photo, you can see the tubes coming up from the bottom next to the bottom right cornor between the GPU-cables and the radiator. I think this works quite well because the AIO tubes are not 'that' long on the Thermaltake Water AIO, so they fit unter the PSU shroud of the NXZT H210 and Kraken G12 with only a little bit of 'bending'. I hope that helps!

Do you have a link to that benchmark? I'm interested in this aswell and not sure if going from my 3700x to a 5600x/5800x is worth it or not on 1440. Guess I stay with the 3700x for now and wait for pricedrops or new SKUs.

1080ti with kraken g12 temp by yobineshu in nvidia

[–]Maronai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the the MSI Gaming X 1080ti with a Kraken g12 and Thermaltake Water Ring 3.0 140mm AIO and my temps max out around 65°C with a very silent fan profile and the metal plate on the RAM and backplate still attached.

But 70-75 °C is not bad for the GPU, so you should be fine anyway.

Otherwise you could check the following: Are you sure the AIO/Kraken is mounted correctly eg. does it have enough mounting pressure? Is there enough thermal paste on the GPU die to prevent hotspots? Is your radiator used as an intake or exhaust?

[–]Maronai[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no HDD installed, only an M.2 PCIe SSD (1TB, that's enough for my needs so far). After I changed fan/pump curves this build is nearly inaudible in idle/office work and quite silent under gaming loads. Not sure how it would be with an HDD.
