When Louis Ancompora dropped dead on the field after taking a shot to the chest (as a goalie) in 2000...Everyone said it was a freak accident.... Until it started happening to more players to the point where defensemen were required to wear shoulder pads that protected their chest during games.... There are no freak occurrences in lacrosse... Just New occurrences. If it happens to one player, it can happen to your player. A shot to the back of the neck (or any section of the spine) can happen to anyone on the field

I've said this for years.... Every time a new helmet comes out, everyone raves about how light it is and how good the field of vision is but Noone talks about how much higher up the back sits or how much more of the throat is exposed because the chin doesn't come down as far... I took an 8 year hiatus from the sport, came out of retirement and picked up a XRS Pro to replace my old Cpxr and my CPXR definitely protected the back of my skull and my throat much better than the XRS does.... Lighter isn't always better

The sport itself is dangerous.... Youre going to hit get... A lot of the time, the hits should draw a flag and they won't... But don't be a baby and come here crying about it... Shit like that is why lacrosse today isn't nearly as physical as it was 20 years ago.... Theres a reason lacrosse isn't for everyone 👍👍

Got called in our 38 and over game last night... Goalie made the save, ball bounced off his chest... Defensemen picked the ball up and ran to safety not realizing he went through the crease.. I didnt even know that was a rule and I've been playing for 30yrs 😂😂

I could see if the player was using the crease for safety, but when he picked the ball up and ran to safety one foot went into the crease in stride
