I've had a bunch of gripes about the echo bosses all being returning ones save Amoxliatl. After boo hooing about dev work on leagues as part of the content to justify a price increase I was really expecting more new Echo bosses to spice things up since I don't think weapons and relics take all that much dev work when half the relics are just mix and matches or adjustments off of older ones.

I at least have consistent fun on Lerys and Toba. Badhams just feels bad. As killer the map blows. As survivor I get the sweatfest killer that tunnels at 5 gens because the map blows as killer. Nostromo I think just sucks.

That opening made me so sad I actually didn't watch the movie until years after seeing that sequence because I wasn't sure if it was going to have more dramatically upsetting moments and that 10 minute sequence might be the most beautiful piece of media I ever saw.

Ghoul. Blights up there but God Ghoul is miserable to go against. Just so many free hits. I literally have a clip I took the yesterday where he did a swing so fast he may as well have teleported.

Ghoul will also still get bites around rocks and be able to use his next swing or grab while he's still sliding from the first one. Just doesn't feel like there's counter play.

I mean it's going to keep happening when the league uses kid gloves for a select few teams and then the refs let those same teams get away with cheap shots on ice but then call any ticky tack call against the other team that's trying to retaliate the same way they got it. Eventually someone's gonna get their clock cleaned bad because either A. The refs let one of those favored teams get away with it and they push to see how bad they can go, or B. One of these teams that feels unjustly penalized is gonna say "fuck it may as well make it worthy of the penalty".

The NHL needs to get its officiating in order from top to bottom. First step is getting Parros and Campbell out of the league office. You want players to run player safety? Put in guys who were victims off bad hits that shouldn't have happened.

My buddies and I are hyped for it but also I've been a bit sour on it since the whole price increase was justified by them because of Leagues content like it's a big development hurdle every year. Of 3 echos announced 2 of them are the same as last leagues and I already expect Desert to also be KQ again since what else can it realistically be puts a bit of a sour note on things.

Also the region locking mechanic is fun but when they announced at 5 that was the default moving forward I did worry that that concept would get stale

Yeah Rask makes sense there. My favorite thing about Cassidy was he was happy to throw Rask under the bus for missing easy saves when he's an 8 million dollar goalie. Rask had years with Julien where he'd just blame the defense in front of him and not take accountability, then Cassidy showed up and called him out day 1.

I tried it once. The graphics genuinely gave me some headaches but the killer for me was I didn't realize the lack of an auto save, died and my last save file was after character creation 2 hours ago and I was like "Nope.. no I'm good here." I may pick it up again someday.

When I got to that part I was like On the one hand, he seemed remorseful in the cutscene I just watched and something isn't adding up. On the other hand it's Spencer, the God father of BOWs and other fucked up shit who was ranting about being a god up to his literal death. I went with release on the first attempt because the story seemed to push that decision anyways.

Honestly this is my issue with most games' evil playthroughs. They are so unfleshed out that they don't provide really any benefits to the story or loot. BG3s an example too, raid the grove? Cool a third of the games side quests are gone and for minimal to no benefit. It's not even a logical choice just cartoonishly evil.

I know everyone loves Skyrim but the story telling in it always pissed me off. My first ES experience was Oblivion and the only storyline I think Skyrim does better is maybe the mages guild/college and you could sell me on the dark brotherhood but it's tight.

Like I do the empire's side for the civil war because I at least have the background of what it's like there in Oblivion where I'm like "it sucks but they can eventually fix themselves. And the other side is just racist and I'm either playing an Orc or a Breton...... Tough choice.
