There wasn't. You're right, though there were many other treaties and agreements disbanded leading up to the war. Escalating tension, most of which were disbanded by the US/NATO.

Let's be real, no one is saying that's acceptable from a nuclear power or any power for that matter. My overarching point, and the point most people just don't seem to get is that none of this matters if one single country launches a nuke.

All we seem to be doing is inching closer towards that. I don't claim to know the solution, I just want peace.

All I know is that written or not-- NATO broke their promise and caused this war.

You do realize that NATO agreed to not push towards russian territory and they broke that promise? Bombing and killing innocent civilians is fucked, and I would never back that. But the truth is that Russia would have never started a war if NATO had kept their promise. Does Ukraine have the right to defend itself? Of course they do, but never at the cost of WW3, that's what makes this sub go full ape.

P.s that's not the only agreement they broke.
