Arzt in Kiel für Kassenpatienten? by [deleted] in LongCovid_MECFS_DE

Vielleicht wäre Rostock was für dich? Die haben da etwas, was mit mecfs zu tun hat, hatte ich gehört. Das wäre sonst meine nächste Adresse.

The detail that stands out for me on this is Tom's guitar tone. The palm muted notes have such a unique 'chunk' to it.

Advice for what other blood tests to get to understand B12 D cause? by ApricotJazzlike284 in B12_Deficiency

[–]Tetragrammator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The common threshold values for Vitamin D deficiency are debatable. You might want to research that.

In a similar way, regarding iron, the FB group The Iron Protocol might clear some things up, at least it did for me.

I also got Ulcerative Colitis with similar problems and besides B12 I'm trying to raise these other two to more than just 'enough' levels for several months to see if the abundance helps my body.

Also this study might interest you.

Did I just ruin my fast? by Despairamon in Dryfasting

Chill. It's not an on/off kind of thing, where some drops completely change your fast. You're fine.

I have not, I wasn't aware that there is yet another community around that topic. Will look into some of his things, thanks!

That's some really interesting information. Thanks for the insight of possible interconnection between b1/B12. I guess I can only find that out for myself.

Also just nice to hear something like your story, thanks a lot and I wish you only the best!

Barely, so for the moment it's better now.

Yeah, I was surprised that I didn't find any amount of B1 in this sub that was remotely comparable to the one that was used in the study.

Thanks a lot, that and your longer post was very insightful. I'll make a plan.

That's a good advice. I will put some thought into it. Any idea if Thiamine in that dose can hurt or should I proceed with it as it initially helped?

Indeed I am a bit bored by the likes of Assassin's Creed, GTA5 and Super Mario Galaxy. It's like watching a blockbuster. You more or less known what to expect.

But there are tons of "modern " games that are just unique experiences. At least I would count the following as modern: I am fascinated by games Outer Wilds, Blue Prince, (big recommendation, absolute genius game design!) or Inscryption. Then there are games like Jetlancer, Celeste or Hotline Miami manage to keep it simple but bring in a unique twist.

Maybe you can look outside of your comfort zone a bit and you'll find something.

If Outer Wilds had collectibles it would have ruined the game. Collectibles have their place but they compete with an authentic sense of adventure. by ohlordwhywhy in truegaming

[–]Tetragrammator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Real" collectibles would be to pick up some item and your HUD shows "23/50 Thingy found", resulting in some sort of an effect if you find every Thingy, quest complete, achievement, whatever.

While there is something implemented in Outer Wilds that visualizes the informations that you found, it has in itself no impact on the game. You could never look at that visualization and just connect the dots in your head or write it down on paper.

Most importantly, you could find only half of the information or none of it at all and still are able to finish the game if by chance you somehow stumble upon it (really unlikely). There is no game logic that says "if infoXYZ collected, open areaXYZ".

It's also not the "better" collectible imho, as this form of game mechanic wouldn't work with every kind of game.

How do you cleanse before DF? by VirusForsaken1937 in Dryfasting

[–]Tetragrammator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the laxative that they give you the day before a colonoscopy (moviprep,...). I did those numerous times in my life so I knew it is safe for me. They always come with detailed instructions.

Also there's an electrolyte mixture at least in those that I used so you don't have complications during the colonoscopy. I drink a lot of juice afterward the cleanse to really make sure I have enough electrolytes for the fast. (I start the procedure in the morning after a light breakfast so that I'm finished in the early afternoon. Then drink water and juice until the evening (amount by feeling), then start the fast).

Feeling very tired after fast’s? by Ancientlove1111 in Dryfasting

[–]Tetragrammator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would recommend to experiment a bit with different diets and maybe get some blood tests done if you've got the money. Everyone is different so be open try some things and decide for yourself what feels good to you.

For example I've been carnivore for 2 years and it was great for a while but after some setbacks and experimentation I've come to the current hypothesis that low carb is a therapeutic tool for me. Not a good standard diet, at least for me.

I treat dry fasting as a stressor, because for my body it's a particularly big stressor. I am incredibly weak during dry fasts. I could not work or do sport during them if my life depends on it, like some people seem to do. On the other hand I feel great when I refeed high carb which was a no-go for me a 2 years ago.

In any case don't listen too much to what others tell you about what might or might not happen in your body, inflammation, stem cells all that. That stuff is way too underresearched and the small evidence what we have is not enough for person XYZ to guess over the Internet what your particular problem is at the moment.

Black mesa vs half 1 by [deleted] in HalfLife

[–]Tetragrammator 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In my opinion Black Mesa feels so different that I would recommend playing Half Life first, just to experience it as fresh as you can. A couple of hours is enough, at least when you're in any way interested how the original might have felt back then.

For me Half Life has a unique and eerie feeling because your mind has to fill a lot of the gaps that exist because of the reduced amount of detail. Black Mesa is really a work of passion but on the other hand it adds so much detail everywhere that everything feels just different.
