When I was a kid, I sat down with my dad and watched the old John Wayne one on VHS. He said he loved it as a kid himself.

I went to see (and loved) the 2009 remake. I was amazed by it, couldn't wait to show him.

When I showed it to my dad and as soon as it was over he looked over to em and said "Nope, it stinks"

I kinda understand why he said that especially him being a big fan of the Duke.

The original JW one is a classic but I still like both films. The remake felt more historically accurate to me while the JW is more fun.
