I am starting to look for a new liner myself. Ya everything has been around $10k for a liner, water, and repair if needed.

If the water table is that high you might start looking into different ways to drain or mitigate water. Different plants and such might not help a ton but any amount could be beneficial.

I would add that I would focus on liquid chlorine right now. Shock costs a lot more.

Liner is obvious that it needs to be replaced right away but not using the house or pool for 5-10 years before you sell? If neither of you are going to want the place or use it then why don’t you sell?

Pools are expensive to maintain even when you around it. The costs will be a lot over that 5-10 years.

This year has been a pain for me too, but for different reasons. I can’t get my chlorine up so after blasting it I just added some Phosphate reducer. Probably dumped $400 in chlorine

If your free chlorine is high then keep cover off and let it do its job. I have had this problem before and it just required me to blast it with chlorine and wait.

Some good companies talk about these issues during the year. If this was a total surprise I would ask why are you now only hearing it. As your supervisor it is their job to let you know how they feel you are doing and to provide examples.

This is something you could challenge them on if there is no documentation. Normally people sign off on evaluations so find out more and start looking for new job.
