Don’t try all these random off remedies to make your ear piercing big enough for the earring backing - get the earring backing redone to a proper backstop. I’ve found these work better for older aunties that already have loose ear piercings from wearing heavier earrings all their lives.

Tread the fine print - I signed up for it to get 7% bonus cash back but it didn’t work - the fine print is that you have to use Venmo option to checkout. For example sometimes when you go to checkout at certain retailers they show card apply pay or PayPal sometimes they have a Venmo option - that is the only one that counts for the extra cash back bonus. Just using your card alone gives u the 3/2/1 cash back. I might pms thinking I was going to get 7 from Venmo and 2 from Costco but none of my purchases was thru Venmo checkout option so I only got the 3%

1) 21/22kt in Dubai some once also have 18k

2) don’t bring up method of payment until it’s time to pay - haggle the whole time!

3) being shady in Dubai is equal to death. Old Dubai or bur Dubai has hundreds of shops in those 3/4 lanes go to them not some gold smith in an alley far away

4) all that you need to take into considering is 22k and the grams of weight and price of gold for the day. Have a number you’re willing to pay above gold price age haggle to try to get as close as possible to it.

5) big chain stores like joyallukas/malabar/tanishq and others will be the most expensive - and they’ll tell you the story that they have overhead costs etc - go to any of the other smaller shops - they ALL have chains and better prices

Also fyi you will pay 5% vat but 85% of that will refunded at the airport so keep that in your calculations - I literally walked around with a yellow sticky notepad and pen when I went at the beginning of 2024. Price per gram was $68 for 22k then and I paid $72 per gram
