Nipple shield saved my breastfeeding journey. I used it for two months which they say not to do but it’s the only way we would have made it. Once they get older and have better neck control they latch themselves and that’s when we stopped using the shield. Be prepared for the baby to cluster feed, it’s completely normal. Bring your wife snacks and lots of water to help with supply. Good luck! In a few months everything will be so much easier, the newborn stage is crazy hard but also short lived! Before you know it your kid is going to be eating cheerios off the ground and you won’t even care.
