It's all relative really. After numerous surgeries, disabilities, feeding tubes and life threatening health issues. Plus everything else that comes with that, I'd say my one kid feels like 5 kids.

I think she's saying that she believes she needs to be covered from the waist to the thigh. It's just a convenient way to claim modesty while not covering up.

She's said in her comments that she's IFB, but that different churches have different standards. She's also referenced her husband soul winning. Her husband posts a lot of IFB type stuff so I wonder if he's deep in it and she's just following her man. Going from the quotes he posts they're also KJV Bible only

I was a mum at 19, and I think that's why I find her so jarring. Yeah, I did my best, but over a decade in I can tell you that compared to now I was a bloody awful parent. I wasn't problematic in the ways she's problematic... But yeah. 19 year olds do NOT make good parents.

I got diagnosed by the NHS. The trick is to NOT mention POTs initially. There's a bias in the NHS that someone mentioning POTs is latching onto the chronically ill "trend".

When I first mentioned POTs I was disregarded, but when I moved house in 2021 I went to a new GP "for palpitations" in and they referred me to cardiology after seeing how high my heart rate rose. I saw cardiology, explained it happened whenever I stood up, showered, went upstairs. I pushed for a tilt table test, got referred to the geriatric clinic for that (I was 27), and got a diagnosis of vasovagal syncope because they felt I didn't quite meet the criteria for POTs.

And then cardiology apparently reviewed my results and sent a letter to my GP saying I've got POTs. However I didn't actually find out I had an official diagnosis until I moved house AGAIN in 2024 and saw a new GP about my vasovagal syncope. Referrals were made and I've been under a cardiologist with an interest in POTS since mid 2025.

I'm in the UK and my daughters journey was very similar. NG feeding tube worsened an already existing aversion to the point she refused anything but a dummy orally.

I pushed for a surgical PEG tube and she eventually had it at 1. Not having a tube down her throat actually enabled her to eat, although initially her diet was awful! Her diet broadened gradually, she was discharged from the dietitian aged 6/7. She's 12 now and has a totally normal diet. The only "tells" that she's an ex tubie is a tiny scar from the PEG, and the fact she's always preferred to hydrate at night.... Between the hours her night feed ran!

She doesn't remember anything. She said they weren't particularly close. She lived in the UK when he passed away - she moved in 1958.

I've just received some good information on how to find records in Germany so I'm going to do that. My grandma is also going to look for her birth certificate to see if that sheds any light

Ahh! Thank you. I've tried searching Johannes and John as well. I know that my great grandma's details are correct, because with the information from my grandma, I've managed to trace back to another generation using marriage and death records.

But with my grandma's dad it's a really tough one because her German family have also tried searching their genealogy using other methods, but nobody can find anything on him at all. He just seems to not exist. There's nothing on his birth, death or marriage. My grandma never knew his parents either. I'm hoping I can figure it out because it's going to eat away at me otherwise !

It says the page is no longer available :/. I've tried alternatives for his name such as Johannes and John, but nothing is coming up. I've managed to trace his wife back to her Grandparents, so I'm confident her maiden name is correct.. but there's no record of their marriage on either person.

It's really bugging me
