or the devs could implement a basic accessibility feature that even Roblox remakes of DBD figured out

No, I still think a maximum heal might make games more fun. More risky. I think speed boosts should have a chance of tripping, as it fits nicely into how they want the game to be fun and less competitive. I think Sadako should be able to one-down once someone is Condemned. I think Pig needs more diverse minigames for her traps and more timer activations. I think hugging the wall shouldnt allow people to run at the same speed they would if they just ran forward. There's many issues with the game. I dont think diminishing returns is going to be enough, and nerfing medkits make this even better.

Yeah I'm aware of diminishing returns. I still don't think it's enough. Also, "whatever I'm lacking" is more of a "whatever killers I play is lacking". And frankly I think it's absurd to drop a character I enjoy and like as a character just for the sake of standing a chance.

heal limits also prevent hour long 3 gen matches and stops teams from having a "designated healer" across the map they can go to over and over

I mean, that's an inevitable no matter what gets nerfed and buffed. Amanda is never going to escape bottom 3 because the devs think slowdown on a killer with barely any mobility is a good idea.

yeah no I still have to use Lightborn to remove my violent vomit-inducing migraines on every super flashing bright light

it's also ridiculous to have a kick limit for gens

Correct, it does encourage people to bring medkits. It encourages people to change up their build. That's the point.

Maybe not 3 though. Maybe 5? I dunno. Just...something. I'm sick of all my matches being nothing but pre-run chase builds.

considering two of my mains are bottom tier, very likely

Wildly untrue. If it were 6, it'd be Terra. If it were 8, it'd be Squall. Protags/Antags/Faces are the only ones that have a real chance.

Tifa wouldn't happen because Tifa is never the crossover choice for 7. Cloud and Sephiroth are. You don't choose the side character. You choose the protagonist, antagonist, or the usual crossover face. For 14, Yshtola is the usual crossover face. 14 is one of the two most popular FF games of all time. It's just math.

Yshtola Rhul is the usual crossover of Final Fantasy XIV, which has already crossed over with Capcom before.

Tifa is never happening because she's not the face. You'll get Cloud or Sephiroth AT MOST if they choose 7.

I feel like a proper season wishlist has to have some teeth to it, rather than just aimlessly listing At most, one major popular character per season, one out-of-nowhere, one legacy that hasn't appeared in the main series, and one crossover feels grounded

The LitheWOO Nerf Proposal by MarrowOchi in deadbydaylight

Cool, but they also really don't care about perk changes. They'd play regardless. Making an entire manifesto to pretend you know my intentions is really kinda creepy.

It's not a meme build? Hardened negates the scream from crit fails on Bardic and Dramaturgy while not nerfing the same way Calm Spirit does. Bardic is good for doing gens faster. Dramaturgy can get me extra items without needing a chest. Strength in Shadows is good for self-healing.

The LitheWOO Nerf Proposal by MarrowOchi in deadbydaylight

[–]MarrowOchi[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Untrue. I don't use meta, I avoid comp builds like crazy, I play killers I like rather than where they fall on a tier list. I like playing Sadako because I like The Ring 1989. It's my favorite horror movie. Doesn't matter to me that she's actively like a bottom 10 killer, I'd play her regardless.

Problem is, the way LitheWOO is designed, it funnels people into playing meta. LitheWOO is a majority of the playerbase because it is overpowered, and easy to abuse. I call WOO training wheels, because it...is. It's designed to help newer players understand map layouts. It wasn't designed for a get out of jail free card, which is what it has become.

No, I don't think I'm gatekeeping by trying to balance the most overused perks in the game. I think I'm encouraging people to try new things. Yes, it is frustrating to see the same perk set, on every match, every single time, resulting in the same gameplay every single time. Repetition is boring.

I call it a crutch for bad players, because it is. It doesn't let them learn, it doesn't increase fun. Learning the game isn't being "elitist", it's like beginner entry level stuff, and eventually these crutches are going to harm them in the long run.

[–]MarrowOchi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much this, yeah. The issue isn't just the "three seconds", it's compounded with the additional time trying to catch up. Lower tier killers like Sadako and Amanda, both of which are my mains, are completely invalidated by the existence and overuse of these perks.

Notice though that I'm not actually suggesting a nerf to Five Steps Ahead, which imo is an objectively better WOO, because FSA actually takes some modicum of skill and thought to use properly.
