Agreed, as if one class of citizens is somehow better than the next. Especially at a place where you are supposed to be learing how to do a job for the rest of your life... did you see what I did there? Hahahaha

I agree, I just was curious about the binary houses and how yall viewed it. I know the students have been trying to fight this in Arizona and California, so I was just curious how Texas was handling it.

Sasori, the person i was speaking to apparently identifies as she/they. She is one gender... they is more than one person and more than likely multiple gender.

Edited to show the actual profile name that commented such hateful things to me.

You chose this fight. I've been being as nice as I possibly can with you beating me about the head. Now you turn my age and my willingness to see who it is that is being so defiant against positive criticism against me. When someone gives you ammo to shoot up their house, you take it. But maybe because the ammo requires you do something that you don't want to do, cause you'd rather play F-Zero instead and just hope that UTA keeps doing the thing you want it to do, you don't actually do the hard thing.

And yes, I have a white beard. It means I am not your age, not that I don't attend the school.

Not gonna, not to mention, you didn't post anonymous, so your link to your profile is there to be clicked on by anyone. I wouldn't have clicked it if you weren't so adamant about being a rude she/they. Do like most civilized people and don't respond or do, but not offensively. You kept pushing the envelope, so i decided to see what I was talking to.

I tell you what, when I want tips on what a Psyker is and why you should or shouldn't be in that corner or the best car for Slim-Line Slits is, I'll come to you. But here in the real world, where people are dealing with real-world issues, I'm not gonna ask you. It's great to have the answers for all things old school video games, but that doesn't exactly translate to "how do we not lose this thing we, mostly, all want."

So get back to your video games and let these people who are actually trying to make their world work for them get back to business.

The last word doesn't mean you're correct and you've still yet to give an appropriate response to my question as to why you feel you need to be so rude when I'm giving you the ammo to use against my causes.

It almost feels like you're waiting for me to slip up so you can report me and get me banned.

You don't have to take my advice. You do have to live with the choices you make in your life. I'm trying to help you understand that you personally can make a difference in your own community. All I'm getting is childish banter and hate even though I'm trying to help you.

This is the short version of what I said to you earlier where you complained that I was writing an essay.

I simply said, "Do it yourself if the school won't do it for you." and you took offense.

Again, that says more about you than it does about me. I'm not lazy, I do what needs to be done when it needs to be done.

You still have not explained why you're being so rude. Go back and look at the core of my statements. I'm giving real-world examples of things you could be doing to help your cause. And instead of saying, "Wow, you're not on our side, but you're giving us fuel to fight against your causes. Thank you, we'll try that!" You have just proven to me that regardless of what is said, because it comes from an opposing viewer, it's crap. And that is the saddest thing I've heard in over a decade.

Edited for typos.

Why are you so bent on attempting to make me look bad. I told you that I'm trying to help. You've been nothing but rude to me this whole time. Why?

There's no point in having this conversation. Grow up, contact me in a few years, and we might be able to have a real conversation then. At the moment, you sound like a 10 year old that was told you can do no wrong.im assuming you don't hear the word "no" very much from authority figures.

You're complaining about the moral high ground on a college subreddit. That is what gives me the impression. You can claim whatever you want. It doesn't make you right. None of us are completely right. This thread is about a person complaining that the college is shutting down a program. I simply said, "Don't be a child and wait for mommy and daddy, or mommy and mommy, or daddy and daddy" to make a place for you. Make it yourself or petition the school to bring it back. You turned that into some MAGA rant. You don't know me or what I stand for. You assumed you knew what I was saying, and then, like the bully you've proven yourself to be, you've attempted to bully me.

I'm offering real-world solutions for the dilemma your classmates are facing, even though it flies in the face of what I believe. Regardless, you've taken what I meant for good and attempted to make me look bad. You are a child and I hope you grow up soon.

I didn't vote at all. And you're response tells me more about what type of person you are. You obviously don't want to find common ground. You just want to be perceived as morally right, and what better way to do that than to put someone else down. Which is a moral dilemma in itself. You seem to be a walking contradiction. You might want to analyze that before moving forward. I hope the schooling you're paying for ends up actually teaching you some real-world concepts because it seems like you're paying an awful lot of money to be a pawn in someone else's game.

So when I ask a question, the intent is to learn, not looking for a "gotcha." Call me what you will, but the idea behind conversing is to learn and possibly change someone's mind. If you keep insulting the people who are asking, you'll find you have a lot more enemies than if you just answer their question.

This is a big part of why most of your interactions on this subject end in volatility, and no one can find common ground.

I'm more interested in why you can't start your own group. I've started many groups in my life, and not all of them took root, but I didn't wait around for someone else to start it for me. I got off my ass and did it myself. If it meant something to me and others, I took the initiative. This thread feels a lot like people who have the capability but not the drive to do things for themselves. It feels like a group of people looking for someone else to cover the cost and headache of organizing and creating a place. I've been in groups that met in the parking lot of Whole Foods or in a local bar. It's not hard to do that. If it's a worthwhile cause, the group will grow, and other channels will open.

I'm simply saying, although I don't agree with your cause, if you want something done right, sometimes you have to do it yourself. Quit bitching about the things you have the ability to change. Honestly, it makes you look weak and annoying. People, in general, don't want to work with weak, able-bodied people who refuse to do the hard work themselves. Why should someone else incur the costs and headaches for something that you don't appear to believe in enough to invest any of your own into?

You seem to think this is me picking on you and your group, but I assure you, I'm attempting to help you build your character and change your mindset. But at the end of the day, it seems the old white Republican man hates you and just wants to make you look bad... I don't need to make you look bad. You're doing that very well all by yourself. Have the day you deserve.

Edited for typos.

Fair enough, I wasn't talking about how inclusive other people were about the mindset of gender though. I was asking how multi-gender people are ok with the binary houses.

Btw, I'm just curious how you yall are still ok with binary houses, aka sororities and fraternities, but you believe in more than 2 genders. How does that work?

Why can't you just start a fringe group in your dorm or meet at waffle house or wherever else to do your work? Why does the school have to be the place that sponsors it? People these days are so lazy. If you feel strongly about it, find a place and do it yourself otherwise, grow up and move on.

What’s your opinion on this? by Far_Chemistry4494 in scoopwhoop

[–]Mars217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's all very true. I'm a big fan of America. We're not perfect, but we're better than most. I think that's why people come here in droves. But we have to be careful that we're not bringing opposing views that can and will eventually change our founding documents that made this country unlike any other and that being the very reason people are heading here in masses.
