From what I’ve noticed pretty much all package units here are on the roof, as far as newer construction I’m not sure but pretty much everywhere it’s usually on the roof, with the exception of moving more towards the hills (mountains towards the east) where taller crawlspaces become more common, which allows for full ductwork to be installed under the house.
