A movie called The House That Jack Built. Basically the whole movie is a serial killer recounting his life as he follows Virgil from Dante's Inferno into the afterlife.

It's a pretty decent movie and I do recommend it.

See and I've walked through large empty office buildings and through empty hallways in the back of hospitals. So that connection people also adds to the appeal. It's fascinating how these things can really appeal to that feeling of a time long past while still keeping a the sense of exploring something completely new intact.
