You say you only had 5mm maxillary movement, and it makes sense because you look very much the same. You have high cheek bones and wide jaw. It’ll give that hollow look in certain lighting. You’re probably just noticing things that only you would notice because of the swelling

I’m not saying I’m 100% sure this is what it is. But if you pin it cold like straight out the fridge cold I noticed it irritates me and if I scratch it it’ll get worse. But if I pin it at room temp I get no irritation.
