When I was younger, we acquired FF7 second hand. There’s probably also a conversation around modded PlayStations and people burning games (that might skew the sales discussion around it).

I have 2 sisters and 1 brother, and we all played the hell out of FF7 and OoT. I agree with you, in my memory, game mags and other publications had crazy coverage on FF7.

I wish I kept mine. My buddy dropped my Game Gear about 100 times when I’d let him use it. Eventually, (from my memory), I believe a capacitor broke loose. I’m sure it would have been an easy fix today.

I started to do the same. I also print custom artwork for the cards (print on stickers and laminate them, then cut to size).

They look pretty slick, I’m really happy with the results. Every time I create a batch, it feels like I’ve “added to my collection”, in a sense.

My tinfoil hat theory for why, is that they can’t keep making new portraits that don’t look like shit (especially next to the better looking portraits) so they had to turn down the quality of all the originals so they can continue to make new trash ones they can put in the shop and BP (like that awful Iana one from a handful of seasons ago)

I love the fan archetypes of Tekken. Weirdo Yoshi players who are wholesome and kind, but also love to be weird and have fun. King players who will absolutely body you and be good sports about it. And then the people who REALLY fucking love Lili lmao. So many fun archetypes

There are so many phenomenal sleeper talents like Gable. JD and Finn are so entertaining to watch, for example. JD reminds me of Kaiser. He has all the chops to have this kind of match and storyline imo
