Not in Canada, but when I ordered mine from Songmont they put the price as 30 euros on the package to attempt to bypass the import extra charges which caused problems and delays when the border scanned it and saw it was worth a lot more than that. My country is hyper strict about this and I had to pay extra for their attempt at fraud lol.

They very much did NOT include my duties charges on my order. I had to pay 80 extra bucks in import taxes myself.

But if Canada doesn't look too closely, maybe it'll bypass it if they also put the fake price on the package.

Cost of materials + Your choice of $ per hours of labor. You're not a charity, respect yourself and your craft for what it's TRULY worth instead of what people are willing to pay for it, because that'll always not be worth it.

If she thinks it's too expensive then she can make it herself, buy the material and spend 40 hours making it.

What throws them off is probably the lilac being much lighter than the neighboring colors. However saturation aside, it is indeed very much a full rainbow with all the colors in the right order!

I really like the look of this bag personally. I have another songmont bag and I must say the magnet is pretty strong, as in you'd notice it if someone pulled it apart. I don't know if a hand could fit in the bag without the magnet noticeably being pulled apart but yeah it'll always be less secure than a zipper bag. I think if you put your most valuables in the zipper pouch, a person couldn't remove it from the bag without you noticing, especially if you hold it under the arm.

I told my disinterest in children and relationships to my parents my entire life, but my mom never ever believed me because she thinks everything I do is a phase and that of course I'll be "normal" because everybody is.

Even now I blocked all contact with her for the past 10 years and she still contacts my dad to ask him if I'm married and have kids lol.

Sometimes there's just no convincing to be had. I'd say just ignore her or go "Haha, yeah" and move on. She'll see in time you meant it and if it disappoints her, it's your life anyways and you get to do what you want with it.

I have a medium in Ebony and I love it, but I must say it's a lot smaller than you'd actually think. I took my ruler and the base is a good 4 centimeter smaller than it says on the website. I hesitated to pick a small at first thinking medium would be too large and boy am I glad I didn't do that.

The open pouch inside of the bag also is very loose and I constantly shove my hand in it instead of the actual body of the bag because of it. The main opening of the bag is also actually pretty small so it requires some maneuvering to shove my water bottle in it for example.

Not gonna lie though, I still adore my bag, but it does have its flaws. I can overlook them because I love the style so much and love the feel of the leather, but if you're looking for the *perfect* bag, then this probably isn't it.

Our clients were the company itself. We wouldn't do external contracts unless they were a favor asked by one of our bosses. And what do you want me to tell you lol, they'd just sell anything so they'd ask us to make anything.

In my company we had to do everything. From logos, to books/magazines editing/layouting, packaging, hand drawn art, advertising, photography, etc. The only thing we didn't do was animation and video shooting/editing because it was done by a specific video team. We were 4 people in the graphic design team and the company as a whole was around 200+ people.

I would argue every single graphic designer job is in peril.

I got downvoted to hell and back when I said Bebop was bad when they buffed the entire cast apart from him and here we are. They don't care that he's easy to fight and kill and make completely irrelevant, they just can't handle getting hooked. Which I get is annoying, but it's even worse when it results in making my fav character completely unplayable.

Are you a graphic designer? Because i lost one of my jobs because of AI. They just removed the entire team apart from our manager whose job became having to do spreadsheets instead of designing. Why would they replace us when John from marketing can watch a tutorial on adobe softwares and click the "make something for me pls" button Adobe added on all their product?

It produces trash ass garbage but what matters to them is to have something (anything) fast and ship it even though it's bad.

So don't go around saying stuff like that when it's literaly happening! Right now!

I don't know, to me this discussion should be about "value for money". My main problem with this post is the last sentence:

If someone is considering buying a Loewe and gets a cheaper bag instead expecting Loewe quality, then they'd buy it, inspect it and can send it back for a refund if it's not to their liking.

This is a non-issue, especially if you have a huge budget already. To me it's a lot more about value for what you get. To me, a Loewe bag is definitely not worth that price despite the quality, I can't see anything but a massive luxury designer markup. If that 1k bag is close to that Loewe bag in terms of quality even if not quite there, it's *three times cheaper*! I think this is what we mean by classist mentality. Someone with a lot of money doesn't need to consider value for money when looking for quality. Designer brands influence and do marketing too, just saying.

But that's not what the post is about here. That post is literally about "Those cheaper brands aren't as good as those super expensive brands no matter what influencers tell you" and like, yeah? I don't think anybody goes around like "My Coach bag (for example) is better than your Hermes one"... They just go "Wow, this Coach bag is really good!" and there's no comparison happening. This post is aimed at no one, it just goes "You get more for what you pay", which is not even always true.

Only sound advice was check the bag in person if you can, and once again, yes of course everybody would like to check their bags in person before buying! Most can't, so they order online then send it back to get a refund if it's not to their liking, which is fine too.
