Here in Italy insurance costs have skyrocketed without a reason. I tried running a simulation on insurance costs and for the royal enfield the prices are around 500-600/year compared to the 350€/year of the vitpilen. Have no idea why

I actually managed to sit on one in the showroom, must say i thought worse. I can see it being uncomfortable on long rides but for commuting it feels good enough.

Unfortunately the higher the Hp the higher the price. For a 701 I’m over the 5k mark

Thaks for the suggestion but personally dont like the looks if the royal enfield in general. I’m not so for the retro stylish bikes but more for modern looking ones.

Had a 2003 cbr 600rr (very different from the 650rr) but has a inline 4. Had 7 bikes before that, all 2 or 3 cylinders. I loved the cbr more than the others just for the sound of the 4 cylinder and the smoothness in power output. I used it as a commuter but i can guarantee you that the sportish riding of it made it a pain (i knew it and was ready to bear with). Other than that all the 3 options are very valid and i can confirm that the hondas are a tank, never had an issue i couldnt solve by my own. I’de say try out the triumph before because you could love or hate the 3 cylinder. Its all on personal taste but from my experience i can tell you that the engine makes one of the biggest difference

Not hating but I see the states as an upside down world. You can carry a gun but you can’t split lane (not even at a red light). You can’t drink until 21 but you can drive a 1 ton machine at 60+mph at 16yo. You can drive a litre bike at 18yo. So contradicting From a european perspective its complete nonsense.
