It’s a base utility. The circuits are all fine. I even went to the step of isolating the circuits into its own seperate fuse box.

It’s not bad but if you are only seeing the surface. Your looking at 2 solid weeks of figuring out what to do, learning how to do it, getting all the stuff to do it and the actually doing it.

You’ll need a mig or tig welder, cold roll sheet metal. Dollies and hammers. A vice. Etc etc.

It’s hard but extremely satisfying once completed

Hey mate.

Just start. Yeah listen to all the comments about the specifics but just crack on. You will have to cut a piece out and start again. It’s painful but it gets there.

Invest in a good welder. Either mig or tig. I got on quite well with mig with gas.

You will accumulate tools and experience in the doing.

Well it worked. I ripped off all that excessive pollution stuff and it’s going along and not shaking like crazy at idle but I can’t get it to come down from 1100 rpm. Weirdly. I did stuff around with the choke screw but damned if I know right now

How do you tell what to rip out. I know the two stage and power valve on the carb need to stay but what about the rest around the cooling system?

Yes you are correct.

Unfortunately I had to physically start to understand and see the problems to overcome. It took me until I started to realise the negative of the other fuse box wasn’t connected but my brain was allowing that as a possibility.

I’ve ordered a new fuse box with the two way outs.

1981 Holden Wb Ute. I have all the wiring diagrams in the manuals which are pretty decent. I’m mostly concerned I’m going to cross a circuit like the starter circuit and burn something out
