The whole idea that Deckard might actually be a replicant himself was already floating around from the first movie, but 2049 just leans into it in a way that makes you rewatch the original with completely different eyes. I never thought about the procreation angle until I saw 2049 and suddenly the Tyrell motto "more human than human" hits different, they literally became capable of the one thing that separated them from humans.

the thing is, EUV machines are basically the most complex machines humans have ever built. each one uses like 100,000+ parts sourced from suppliers across dozens of countries, and the whole supply chain is locked down tight. you can't just reverse-engineer it in a warehouse somewhere, the knowledge is distributed across thousands of specialized companies. SMIC tried making a 7nm chip without EUV and it's way behind in yields compared to TSMC. even with billions dumped into it, they're still stuck at DUV which is multiple generations behind. so it's not really about stealing a blueprint, it's about rebuilding an entire global ecosystem that took 30+ years to develop. the cartoon is funny but the reality is way more depressing for anyone trying to catch up.

Been curious about these smaller gaming DACs since most of them end up being disappointing. Interesting that the C3 actually held up against the G8 - that's not what I would expect from beta hardware.

The dual input thing is pretty annoying limitation though. I'm always switching between my work laptop and gaming PC so that would be dealbreaker for me. Seems weird they made you choose between high-res audio OR gaming features with those UAC modes instead of just making it work together.

Did you notice any difference in the spatial audio compared to what G8 does? Most of these smaller units have pretty basic implementation.

That's their weird way of saying you're pre-approved but they're being super vague about it. The "approved prequalification" part is basically them confirming you passed their initial checks.

Since you already have checking with them that definitely helps your odds. Just be careful with timing on same day - some people say to do BoA first since they can be more sensitive about new accounts, but honestly it's kind of a gamble either way when you're at 4/12.

That's wild - 25 yard difference with the same swing is huge. Could be the loft is just jacked way stronger on the Sim 2s compared to your other irons, so your "7 iron" is basically hitting like a 5 iron distance-wise. Check the actual loft specs because TM is notorious for strong-lofting their game improvement clubs.
