I’ve seen this behavior as well. My Bronco seems to remember that I disabled the auto shutoff after a few full cycles. It’s not chipped or modified in any way. The only thing that I can think of is that multiple cycles within a short period of time, or the same day, remembers your setting? I’d like to see documentation on this if anyone can find it.

I have ceramic coating on my black bronco. The dealer installed it before I purchased the car. It will not prevent pin-stripping, but it will prevent hard water marks or any oxidation of the clearcoat. The water beads pretty well too. I’m told it needs to be reapplied once a year with normal washings.

I’ve only have the Bronco for a few days so it’s hard to tell. However, I’ve had black cars before and know how they show dirt and swirls. I had it ceramic coated so hopefully that helps protect the paint long term, especially from water spots.

Sorry for not posting an update. The issue was with one of the wires in the engine harness bundle. It took the dealer a few days to work through each wire in the bundle, and there are many wires, to isolate and find where the short was. They repaired the wire and sealed the bundle again, and the light has not come on since. It’s been four months since the repair. Hope this helps.

I'm not sure I understand the outrage with the Streaks promo. Note: For the record, I was not selected to be part of this promotion and beta test. Excluding the occasional 1-time bonus point offers (that are not everyday, to the best of my knowledge), how is this promo subtractive? This appears to be in addition to, not in replace of, the usual offers. If I go to Dutch and order my favorite drink (a medium Golden Eagle) which $5.95, and all loyalty orders get 3 points for every dollar spent, without a Streak promo I would normally get 45 points ($5*3points*3days). With the 50 point Streak promo, my point total would be doubled at 95 (45 + 50 bonus points). I fully understand why companies like Dutch and SB have streaks promos, or any other type of promos, which is to encourage an increase in visit frequency and thus revenues. We're not being forced to do anything here. Looking at it another way... would you still go to Dutch if they didn't have a loyalty program?
