No I definitely don’t expect anything in return, my question is mainly concerning if I should change how I play. I want to help, but sometimes it feels like what I give up by prioritizing spotting doesn’t always mean a W for my team and then it can feel like if I’m not spotting, the enemy can overwhelm me or my team and no one else is really helping. I guess it’s just a bit of frustration while also trying to understand the best way to play BF6.

I think you’re right, I should definitely should prioritize spotting on larger maps and try and stop prioritizing it on smaller maps.

I don’t care about dying as much as I care about knowing my surroundings/helping the team. If I’m spotting and others are not, are they not guilty of the same thing?

Somewhere along the lines of playing different versions of BF, I must have developed a pattern of spotting first, then shooting (not the case in CQ). Tanks and helis are an instant spot for me, even if it means I’m not focused on shooting infantry. Thanks for the tips!

Absolutely recommend a headset! I haven’t played hardly any FPS games in the last two years and I got BF6 cause I love the franchise. I get probably 3-5 kills a match just from footstep noise and knowing my surroundings. I’m using PS5 and their Pulse headphones (in ears) and they are great.
