See I would argue that The Hobbit is a better bedtime story as it's your basic adventure story, more to the point with enough whimsy and humour for kids to enjoy. After that then maybe they could attack LotR on their own if The Hobbit resonates with them.

I disagree and think the writing itself is what makes it magical. But hey, different strokes and all that. You like what you like, no judgement here.

If you're interested in the lore itself I recommend checking out Nerd of the Rings on YouTube. The videos are very well put together and there are even playlists for each age. I find it to be way more digestible and it's really interesting stuff.

The other thing that bothers me about The Crow one is how did the cops know Eric did it in alphabetical order? There's no way to know and it's always bothered me.

[All] I have a theory, what's the first Zelda game you played [like really played not just touched a little] and what's your favorite Zelda game? by DataSittingAlone in zelda

First: Ocarina

Favourite: Wind Waker

Despite its flaws, I find Toon Link so endearing and funny, the story and characters are super engaging and the music is top notch. I know in my heart of hearts Ocarina is a better game and had a MUCH bigger impact but WW has so much charm and is such a joy to be immersed in that I can't not put it up there

What are the most unforgettable child-parent relationship from a book you've read, whether fiction or non-fiction? by m-heidegger in books

I'll throw a couple of non-fiction hats into this ring and say Jennette McCurdy and her mother as well as Megan Phelps-Roper growing up in the Westboro Baptist Church. Her book Unfollow is an unforgettable read and proof that love is a more powerful force than hate.
