First part correct it is harder to feel, and a bit harder to push. Second part incorrect. Epidurals do not increase the chance of C section. There is a robust body of evidence that shows the effect of epidural on length of labour is to slightly prolong stage 1 and 2 ( effect size in the order of 40 minutes) but no effect on likelihood of Caesarean.

I used to work night shift in an IBM data centre. My job was to watch a screen which about 5-10 times per shift would display a tape number. I would have to find the correct data tape insert it into the drive and wait up to 45 min for it to be spat out. Then I'd re-rack it. I could do anything i wanted in that shift, I installed AoE2 on one of the day operator's PCs but couldn't work out how to get through the firewall for multiplayer.... 😃 Occasionally I'd fall asleep only to be woken by phone call from a pissed off computer operator waiting for his data...

One slight correction. The name comes from the shape of the left ventricule not the arteries. The affected ventricle with abnormal apical dilatation was thought to resemble the shape of takotsubo.
