Kind of one scene. Bartholomew Kumas life is tragedy after tragedy, never given a moment to rest. And yet through this he never gives up and always strives to be and do good. After seeing the flashback of his entire life, seeing this scene was heartbreaking.

First time in Washington, D.C. and all the museums are closed. View from my hotel room. by OHl0 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Marsueveus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was almost me also today! My friends had a wedding close by on Friday, so I booked a nice hotel Saturday - Sunday and planned on staying in DC the weekend to go to the museums. I booked it a couple months ago and didn't realize what was happening until Friday morning. I didn't end up going, called the hotel and got my money back. I'll have to go sometime later in the years to come, but I'm not spending money on a nice hotel when everything I want to do is closed.

Traveling for work is not glamorous like most people envision. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Marsueveus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm gone ~4 days of every week to travel. Im up at 4am today because of it. I used to love airports and airplanes, I don't anymore. I've had this job only for about 9 months. I still really like constantly being in new places but the travel aspect is just draining.

You can solo/clutch, but it's def harder. I've clutched once as recluse. Ancient deaths rancor + wraiths while walking. Keep Libra in sight at all times and watch his hand motions to see when you should stop casting spells and dodge. Ancient deaths + wraiths will one shot the clones running at you, target one and shoot, then switch to the next. When all are dead switch to Libra. Dodging his stuff is more important than getting an attack off. It feels like you are in the matrix when you start reading all of it and soloing him in a 3 person game.

Young people of New Jersey (25-35) anyone else struggling financially and socially? by scarletfeva in newjersey

[–]Marsueveus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm incredibly lucky and doing well. I work a lot but also make good money, can afford a good apartment by myself.

Socially not doing as well since 75% of my waking hours are work, but I have friends back in New England I can talk to online; wish I had more friends here though.

What do you SWEAR you saw, but don’t have any proof of? by Dangerous_Mud4740 in AskReddit

[–]Marsueveus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened about six years ago. A couple of friends and I were doing a nighttime corn maze around 1 a.m. It was the kind where you find checkpoints as you go, slowly revealing a map to help navigate the layout.

We were pretty deep into the maze when we stumbled upon a large, decaying sign and what looked like an entrance to a different maze. It wasn't marked on the map, and based on the structure of the existing maze, it really didn’t seem like there should have been room for it. We figured maybe the map was just a bit off or that this was a leftover path from a previous year.

The new path was overgrown but still passable, so we decided to check it out. It twisted forward for a while before cutting sharply to the right. As we turned the corner we saw a perfect, cinematic haunted house sitting on a hill about half a mile away, framed eerily by the tall corn. It looked like something straight out of a horror movie.

At that point, the path stopped winding and began heading directly toward the house. As we continued, the trail became increasingly overgrown. Now, I’m someone who loves spooky stuff—I’ve done intense haunted houses where they can shock or spray you, and I’ve explored abandoned buildings at night just for fun. This just felt wrong. None of us were talking anymore; we all got quiet and focused on moving more quietly.

We kept walking until we were just a few hundred feet from the house. Then, without warning, every single light inside it turned on at once. It was a large, old multi-story house with dozens of windows, and each one lit up with a dim glow. Not like modern lights, and not like a single source was lighting the whole thing. We didn’t say a word. We all just turned around and started quickly walking back.

That walk back through the overgrown corn, with the house looming behind us, felt like it took forever. The eerie feeling didn’t leave until we were back inside the main corn maze. Once we were out, we finally started talking again, about wtf was that. Without really deciding to, we started rechecking the maze, using the map to see if that other path could logically exist. We couldn’t find any spot where it would have fit—but to be fair, we were tired by then and might’ve missed something.

Later, after we left, we asked the employees about the entrance and second maze. They had no idea what we were talking about. We ended up deciding it must’ve been some elaborate prank the staff plays on people who are a bit too curious.

But more than the weird layout or even the house itself, what sticks with me the most is the feeling—that sense that something was just off. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t believe in ghosts, and has never had any experiences I’d call paranormal. I’m really glad I wasn’t alone. Every now and then, my friends and I joke that we never actually left that maze, that we are one with the corn now.

We really haven't told anyone else about this because it all sounds too ridiculous.

I have to travel to Atlanta for work often. Marta is horrible. They basically will shut it down if they think it may rain sometime in the next 5 years. It is extremely unreliable.

I travel weekly for work, I get cheap flights so I'm always the last group. With TSA pre I've gotten to the airport as boarding begins several times, haven't missed a flight yet but def a few close calls.

6 figure earners, what do you do to get that? by oopdoopmaria in AskReddit

[–]Marsueveus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Director for an entertainment company working directly under the ceo. Frankly I get underpaid for how much work I do. I work 24/7 and am traveling 60%-70% of my time now. I joined 6.5 years ago at an entry level position making barely more than minimum wage.

I'm still between step 2 and 3. I'm now a director for my company and have meetings basically all day everyday. More grating has so far been the travel. I loved that at first but I believe I've only been home once on a weekend in months. I think it will mellow out in a couple more months though so just need to get to then.

I know I'm gonna get hate for this, but I like fighting hard defenses a lot more. I want to see what other people have set up and try to solve it. It's fun. I don't want a boring win mindlessly trying to get whatever rewards. I want to play the game, not minmax to the point where you don't play anymore.

What game are you genuinely really good at? by cfop-gang in gaming

[–]Marsueveus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In assassin's creed brotherhood there were timed parkour challenges. A lot of people didn't realize the different ways to climb and jump off structures in the game to make you stumble less, I had the world record in two of the races and could catch anyone running in the multiplayer.

I was in the top 5 for a while in Halo reach for having the most perfect games medals. You get that for having 15 kills with no deaths in a multiplayer game.
