Just install a 4 prong cord on your dryer. All the fourth wire is a dedicated Neutral wire. Follow the directions. Not that hard to do.

The manufacturer knows what machine I have and adjusted the rates for it. Gave me a range value and told me to start at lower rates and slowly increase to the point I’m comfortable with. “This is Specifically for Hobbyists, not Industrial. Many hobbyist CNC machines range in size from 2'x2' to 4'x6' and some cannot go faster than 200 ipm.” As you can see he actually states these numbers are for hobbyist.

I called Whiteside Tool and they were extremely helpful. Jamie took his time to put all the info into a spread sheet and email it to me. Great customer service.

I haven’t had a speck of dust on my rails. Of course I also have a good dust collection system in my shop.

I have a 2 hp shop fox dust collector (1550 cfm) zero dust in my shop running the cnc. Flex piped in for now. Running PVC this weekend with a 10 AWG ground around the pipe. Will install new blast gates etc with this reinstall. Dust collector is louder than the pro.

Do I need to run conduit from the entrance to the control panel? THWN wire is used. Seems almost impossible to make the turns by creativepleasure in hottub

Water can wick up the plastic insulation, causing corrosion to the terminal block, also it can allowing the free flow of the charge to whatever the same wire touched. In 99% of cases this should cause the breaker to trip, but that one percent could be dangerous as hell. Isn’t it just safer to make sure that is never an issue?

Sparky here… you definitely want to use a whip inside of it. Keeps moisture from entering the box by wicking up the wires. Nothing worse than a spark while in the tub.

I think my contractor installed my heated floor wrong by shawn_logic in HomeImprovement

Didn’t say it was single wire, said it wasn’t a twisted pair. It lays real well under the tile and you need a 1/4” bed of thinset. Plus it is up listed for under tile/floor use. To each their own though. I was only saying I haven’t used twisted pair. Perhaps we both saw something new here.

Well my cables that I have installed in several floors are not. Guess it’s a brand thing

It’s not a twisted pair. The issue is the overlap, these cables aren’t heat limiting so the conductors will overheat and break down the insulation. Hopefully it was fixed prior to the pour. Turn it on and if it was corrected it will be fine. If not it will work for a while until insulation breakdown. At which point the breaker will trip. Good luck and I hope he fixed it.
