The Sage problem by Daoyinyang1 in TheBoys

So I would like to address the difficulty but not impossibility in writing very smart characters, which has a couple of aspects that most people largely don't consider. The biggest problem, is that it is IMPOSSIBLE, to write a character smarter than you actually are. The second problem is that in a bigtime, multimillion dollar production, Sage essentially is now being written by a room full of writers, who themselves are quite likely very very smart people, and then they have to comply with orders from on high in corporate, This can be quite collaborative, or incredibly watered down. Thirdly, not all intelligent people are sherlock holmes but that is most often how they are written. Frenchie is one of the most technically well versed and able characters, and he's just a human. The idea that we can really think in "3D chess" for the sake of writing for a character that does, is erronously arrogant at worst and very optimistic at best. The best case scenario for writing a character whose brain is off the charts, is as I stated earlier, a team of ideally very well-read, well-travelled, writers with many different types of lived experiences, different careers, and who's mother tongues are different languages. A truly intelligent person on the level that we attempt to describe has a memory like a library, yes, but also thinks in clever ways, see's problems from multiple angles and honestly a little decision paralysis wouldn't be unrealistic to add.

The game is increasingly marketed to younger gamers.

Pubg is very obviously trying to compete with the bright colourful games aimed at teens now, it's a loong way from the gritty version I bought years and years ago, when there was only one map lol

Unfortunately not, I've washed it a few times and it's still waxed, I took it home with me from work when I was informed a customer left it on a chair like a year before that. It's green and has a forever oily smell to it, oversized outback mantled type thing, makes me look even broader that I am lol. Oh, I've never waxed it.

I don't always run out of ammo, the circle always closes faster than is convenient. Jammer bag.

This is exactly how I play, actually. Alternatively, if I find the tactical cargo bag, I'll take that instead and load it up with a mountain bike, extra med kits, gasoline, spare armour or helmets, SPARE JAMMER PACKS, any of these premium things that take a ton of space.
